While studying the epistles of Peter, I learned how important it is to see how short-lived the things of this world are, and how eternal the things of the next. Amazing how both Peter and his successor, Russell M. Nelson, are both teaching me to think Celestial!
I share your insight. As I listened to this session, I was continuously thinking about what President Nelson and others have been saying about difficult times ahead.
And how the adversary uses the same tricks today as yesterday. He can’t know the mind of God because he cannot connect with the spirit. We must pray in our hearts and minds always to escape his traps, but the focus should be on Christ not the storm or we will sink like Peter into the abyss.
@@juliak3580 So true! Satan is so good at tempting and leading astray, but Christ is the answer and the solution and protection! Amen to what you said!
I was re-baptized 3 weeks ago! Only took 30 years! I am facing crazy challenges health wise! I prayed with an open heart and received an amazing blessing! I went for what was to be a 2 hour long complicated surgery which last 30 minutes because the infection disappeared! I wake up so happy and blessed! I’m excited to read and learn! I love your teaching method!
Wow! Thank you for sharing your wonderful journey with us! Amazing story! Amazing Father in Heaven. Amazing is our Savior. Keep the faith, Sister/Brother!
What a beautiful lesson ❤ Your videos remind me of President Hinckley and how he always encouraged us to be a little better. Your videos do the same. I always feel inspired to improve and change those little things that I need to work on. Thank you for all your hard work in sharing these videos each week!
Your teachings and insights help me prepare to teach the youth as well as myself. Thank you for learning what you have to help someone like me understand the gospel better. I know I am loved and hope to spread light and goodness through my faith in Jesus Christ.
Awww, thank you Bro Griffin and Bro Halverson for another amazing lesson and beautiful presentation. I really appreciate all the time you put into preparing these lessons for us, and for being the people you are to have the spirit be with you. Because of this, the spirit is with me as a viewer on this channel too. The Spirit is there when I reflect on the insights and lessons from SC. I wish the both of you happy health and happy well being always because I don't want anything to happen to anyone, and I don't want anyone to get ill. Your time as teachers to the world is so important. SC is a light. Despite the challenges going on today, I know I can always come to this channel and be uplifted. I prepared some things I wanted to share in relation to the beautiful insights discussed, but you know what? It was in my heart to write this instead. God bless everyone at SC. Everyday your work and decisions are helping someone ❤️.
It's probably just me, but I feel privileged that when you both speak and share your insight, many of my questions and concerns are addressed. As if, and I know this to be true ... That Our Heavenly Father knows what I'm going through, being bombarded with from all directions within and outside the Church. Thanks for taking the time to ask Our Heavenly Father what course or direction you should move forward in your presentation. I'm also grateful for the Spirit and His guidance. Hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving
Thank you as always for helping me in my personal studies, I’m so grateful for all your time and efforts to help me to get more out of my studies it has and continues to enrich my life.
Thank you for this beautiful lesson. I cherished every minute of it. I loved the part at the end about eternal progression and having your calling and election made sure. It’s exciting to see the temple endowment as only a symbolic walk-through while our lives are the real walk through and actually how we are making our calling and election a reality. I’d confused the temple as the real thing and trying and trying to make sense of it.
Wonderful teachings. Thank you for your time and talents. Thank you for making it your life's work and sharing it with us. Do you have links to the picture of a smiling Father in Heaven in this podcast and in the 49th - God is Love 1-3 John and Jude podcast? Thank you!
With the idea of suffering being exalting it would appear that some suffering serves as a witness against those persecuting us, aka those thrown in the fires of Amonihah or those tortured in the most cruel manner before gleefully killed as described by Mormon and recently witnessed by the world on October 7. I can't imagine how the rape/torture/burning/killing is helpful to those who experience it or for their loved ones. My only solace is that somehow their suffering can be temporary through the Grace of the Savior and that it does not thwart his plan for us.
The part about people thinking that Christian are cannibals reminds me of what a comedian said; " can you imagine a non Christian coming to a church for the first time without knowing the weird lingo that Christians use." Person 1- " alright I'm at church for the first time." Person 2- " we're going to wash you in the blood." Person 1-" I'm calling the cops."
Missed another analogy, yes kids, teens and some adults, think the church is constraining, rules, telling you what to do. Hummmmmm isn’t the world like that, I have to stop at a stop sign, I have to meet my work’s rules and do as the company and managers want, I can’t smoke in a symphony, no shirt-no-shoes-no service???? Etc…. Yet those rule people obey or learn to do, why then is it odd to learn and do as the Savior. Hummmmm We choose/ agency to follow HIM. If we use agency against world rules, your fired, get, ticket, others avoid you if they can’t stand you behavior???????hummmmm
