They're sure havin fun doing the Bump - i luv it! Never seen it done all those different ways before - Thanx for posting! Always enjoy watching these dancers.
Mom loved it. Every time she drank a little to much she started dancing the Bumb and telling me how much she loved dancing. I miss her and seeing her dancing the bumb with so much joy. Riposa in pace Mama
That's a Fantastic way to remember your Mom through Music and the Bump, Breakfast Club. Terrific to channel Uplifting memories to this dance. KC purposely sang Fun songs. Thanks for your comment.
I remember doing the bump with Mt friends in the early 70s and we were really good at doing this dance to KC and the Sunshine Band. But we did it much better than these people. At least they were trying. I loved doing it though. Of course I was living on the East Coast and we would get all decked out in our disco outfits. And hit the nightclubs.
Oh my, Maryann, you are correct. The reason I posted these videos is because the dancers are having so much Fun Laughing & Smiling. They are Newbies who are just learning the very basics of these dances.
I bumped many girls its real fun some bump could really turn you on especially on my groin .not too hard though just a gently bump timing is everything
This is hilarious. I used to do the Bump with my cousin, she and I would tear up the dance floor at parties when we were teenagers Bumpin' like crazy. And we were damned good dancers too. We learned all our dance moves from Soul Train. God, those were some fun days back then. This video makes me smile and they're all having such a good time dancing. I love it.
I'm watching the episode now & I've paused it to do the same. I have a few years of Grey's Anatomy to catch up on. It left 'free to air' here in Australia after Derek died.
As a 75-year-old gay man, who was in his twenties during the 1970s and going to and dancing every night in the bars, the Bump started about 1973 in the Black and Gay Discos. This video is quite laughable because this song ‘That's The Way I Like It’, which debuted in the summer of 1975 is obviously a “fast double bump” song, not a “single bump”. Trust me on this!
I, 100%, Believe you, David about the Fast Double Bump of this KC song. These are Beginner Dancers, so they are in early stages of all dances they perform. I put them on RU-vid to show a Smiling, Laughing & Happy group of dancers. Thought we could use more of their Happiness. For true dancing proficiency, we'd have to look elsewhere.
