Episode 12 from the series 46 1 Corinthians - 2021 with Skip Heitzig. Watch the complete series: • 1 Corinthians - 2021
It's one thing to have water in a reservoir-contained, always there if you need it. It's quite another to have water that pours out of you. So, not only do you have it when you need it, but there's so much of it that not only are you refreshed, but everyone around you gets splashed. That's the kind of life believers have through the Holy Spirit. In this message, Skip Heitzig teaches from 1 Corinthians 12, where the apostle Paul explained how spiritual gifts work in the context of Christian community.
This teaching is from the series 46 1 Corinthians - 2021 with Skip Heitzig from Calvary Church.

Come Lord Jesus come. The Holy Spirit asks your Church to hasten your arrival - 2Peter 3-12. ' as you look forward to the day of God and speed its coming. That day will bring about the destruction of the heavens by fire, and the elements will melt in the heat.' We have never been closer to your return and pray to be ready for you our Blessed Hope. Whilst getting frustrated about these times and wanting to expose evil the Spirit brought me to a part of Revelation I had not spotted before nor had I heard quoted by any pastor. It was this - Revelation 22 11 'He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still.' I took this to mean: don't look for confrontation with evil, demonic spirits... let them dwell in those who seek and invite them but hold on to your own holiness and remain in Christ. Come Lord Jesus come. In Jesus' name, Amen

Does a person have to be born-again in order to say 'Jesus is Lord'? I once asked a person who claims to be a Mormon actually say this.

There is a pretty simple way to test this. Go ask a lost person to just say the words "Jesus is Lord" and a saved person to say "Jesus is accursed" and see if they can or cannot say it. Btw, I will answer the second one for you, Skip said the phrase "Jesus is accursed" multiple times in his sermon and whoever read this letter to the Corinthians (bc the letters were read out loud to the NT churches) had to say it too. Evidently, it must be more than just the ability or inability to say a certain phrase.
