Fight length. If the fight is less than say about 40 seconds to 1 minute it’s better to use earthstrike + passive trink like dft or hoj/bb.

depends on how long it takes you to get through phase one. A regular guild can get away with using their 2-3 minute cooldowns in p1, but these guys burn through shit so quick he might have to wait till weaken before using any cooldonw

weaken phase + reck with full cds active will probably do more damage than popping them in phase 1 would

You can't LIP a Sweep if you use FAP for Sand Blast. This isn't a problem if you're specced into Improved Intercept, as you can Intercept every Sweep. You should probably be specced into Improved Intercept for AQ40. If you're not specced into Improved Intercept, then you're essentially trading a trinket slot (DFT/HoJ) for MRP. MRP on a 57 second fight as Orc would give ~60 AP + 60 Rage, making it much better than either option. MRP saved for Execute would yield ~20 AP + 60 Rage, again making it stronger than DFT/HoJ. More importantly, using Insignia lets you have pot CD for LIP in case things go wrong.
