The motorcycle community is built on traditions and rules that revolve around respect. Your a vet right? So you've probably heard of the VFW (Veterans of Foreign Wars)? There is a group called the VFW Riders, and even they had their patch approved by dominant clubs. I don't think they technically *had* to (they are not a MC but a Organization wearing a one piece patch), but they did it anyway out of respect. You can be a Organization, a Riding Group, a Riding Club and wear a one piece patch on your vest, and nobody will bother you. If it's just about riding motorcycles, that should be enough. However, if for some reason you don't want to do that, if you feel the need to specifically create a MC (Motorcycle Club) despite your other options, whatever is in your head is about more than just riding. You want to be part of the community? That means honoring the community rules and guidelines. If you want to be part of the community, then spit in the face of the very community you claim to be a part of, you don't belong there. To be clear, I'm not saying they should have taken those cuts, but if you *choose* to disrespect people in that life, there may be consequences. The Constitution doesn't protect you from those. P.S. I'm a 18 year Vet, and a Harley Davidson Mechanic and so I've had the pleasure and honor of knowing both groups pretty well. They are both similar in that Respect is a universal currency. This is all just my personal opinion based on my own experiences, but I love and respect you all!!
