I don't know how many times he had been called in prior for warnings. Companies just hate confrontational people. Many companies have strict rules concerning being late and leaving early. It can really suck. So try not to work for companies like that. He also should have asked permission to leave early to see if it was allowed. I'm not sure if they got mad at him for opening the doors early. Maybe it is an insurance concern if people are inside the building early. If there had been a fire & he opened the building for them, maybe they would have thanked him instead.
