I drift away from my thoughts a second and stare out at towering wreckages and blimps, each carrying a bomb to soon be dropped onto this cold limbo I call a city. We can sit by the fire reading books we like, cook meals we made with our hearts, stay up late and watch movies that leave us in awe, crack jokes that bring us to the floor with laughter, sit down with some tea and talk about our day and things that we learnt, play games that brings us excitement and challenge and live the life, hug the family I could only wish to find in my broken dreams. The birds fly freely over the mess trailing electric blue across the smoke-infested sky from the holograms they glided into searching for somewhere else, anywhere else, but here to settle down. While I'm stuck here, sat on the ledge of a small shack high above the destruction and all alone. I feel a warmth under the palm of my hand... oh, haha... the cat. Well, at least you keep me company, my friend. It nestles into my lap and the soft vibration of a purr could be felt. Warm, safe, acompanied, loved. At least by someone. The sleek, black fluff-ball that brings me comfort through the pain and anguish. I have to keep alive for you, you don't have much choice and neither do I. Let's not give up and keep hoping for the light in this dim world. But for now, if I lay here... If I *just* lay here... Would you lay next to me? My friends...? The tears well up, and I close my eyes to wish again. And again. Nothing happened. Nothing yet. One day I'll be with you, won't I? ...Promise me I will, please...... *We promise. Just hold on a little longer...♡*

This is sad and calming for me, since this played in a wattpad where someone was dying in their crushes arms from second degree drowning and they were lost in a forest. The person died later. Then the person who was holding them, started cutting themself and tried to kill themself by jumping off of a bridge into a river, but the ghost of that other person saved them from drowning :D Sorry if this was worded weirdly 😅
