@geniecook7 That opinion is just completely incorrect. Strongly advise you to go back and play it again. In my opinion, and i love the God of war game, but i haven't played it since that year. Once a year a restart RDR2 and play through that masterpiece again. It should have won game of the year.
@@CharlesVanexX I played 20 hour and it s biggest scam of gameworld. Gow @bused this horse riding simulator. U can't compare to gow with this slow mo 0 rpg elements game. Imagine they compare with bg 3. Hillarious
if this game delivers on what its showcasing and has a solid story, we will see a new dawn of RPG we have never seen before. By the Nine, I hope this is not another "the day before" scenario...
@@orbit1894 yet to be seen though, the player wasn’t interacting with NPC’s much. I really hope the writing is good that might be asking for too much tho
The writing will be last on the list I can already tell since it's done by the devs for Black Desert Online lol. This is going to be mainly for gameplay and that's it
As some people have already pointed out, it's more of an action game than RPG. From what I've heard there won't be level-based progression, character customization and many (if any at all) branching dialogue choices
This looks absolutely incredible! As someone who just started replaying The Witcher 3, this hits all the notes. The only thing I don't like is the excessive particle clutter.
Nah. It’s visually impressive and maybe the combat will be decent, but I suspect the quests, story, characters, writing and voice acting won’t be anywhere near as good as witcher. In my experience, Korean devs make pretty games and that’s about it. I have yet to be impressed by really any aspect of a Korean game other than it’s beauty.
@@CrispyBarOfSoap Pearl Abyss also developed Black Desert Online, I have almost 15k active hours in there and I couldn't tell you almost anything about the lore. Hoping they do a good job with Crimson Desert!
One thing I'm eager for is the hand to hand and grab attacks that have been implemented into the combat. Clotheslines, flying kicks and knees, and power slams sound like a good time to me
@@Cormano980 Honestly I feel like that's been more of a Ubisoft/specific developer problem rather than a typical scenario. Pearl Abyss also developed Black Desert which was and still is a gorgeous game. Asian developers tend to consistently maintain what they present to viewers. Even look at Black Myth Wukong. Looks exactly as they promised!
@@emptyherosTo be honest, we have plenty of games now that surpass the facial animations and expressions that we’ve seen in Crimson Desert. I’m all for great visuals but to me, great story, characters, and gameplay are what I care about first and crimson desert only seems to have one of those so far. Hopefully I’m wrong or it’s at least decent in those other aspects but having bad facial animations in 2024 is a terrible sign. Star Wars outlaws, ac shadows, Dragons Dogma 2, and any other game with bad facial animations usually have other major issues too unless they are smaller scale projects.
just been watching this and the main character spoke and my wife thought it was me and asked who i was speaking to, great hearing a fellow Scot as a main character.
This game is made by the same people who made Black Desert. Just by that you should know the scenery and combat is going to be great. But what im personally looking forward to is the Lore since it's my favorite part of game's
For those who don't know, in Black Desert Shakatu is the npc that owns weapon Gacha gate, you give him gold coins and he rng gives you weapons, he's also in a merchants guild if im not mistaken.
I don’t know this looks too good to be true, very ambitious hopefully they can pull it off. Definitely not a fan of all the particle effects though a bit over the top!! But looks good though!!
a long time ago when the game was first revealed, they had talked very briefly about a multiplayer component very similar to a gta online. Basically you would create a character with the detailed character creation system from Black Desert Online and then play online in the game world. But it would be available only after finishing the main story. I can’t find any more details than that but I would love that.
Looks good! Hopefully it is!! Looks very like Shadow of Mordor-esque and Witcher combined. It does look a little too “clean” but I assume it’s still in development so can be fixed. Hopefully this game is real and has some substance behind it!
if this delivers it will be amazing, but how many times have we been let down before, so we'll just have to wait and see. I really hope they let you try it out because I believe in your judgement
I cannot wait to play this game. Just to know that this game will be drastically improved upon is scary because it already kicks ass in its current form. I'd love to see a real weather system on par with RDR2/GTA 5. These two games have the greatest weather system I've ever scene. I already love the horses in this game. This is a dream game. Everything our favorite games of this type have all rolled into one. The Witcher 3, RDR1 and 2, AC: Origins, and Skyrim...I'm gonna have to seriously manage my time when this game comes out.
it amuses me that people are comparing it to games like assassins creed.... its like people discovering this game hasn't ever touched black desert online. This game is a clone of black desert online which... is their game btw, and improved upon for single player
The fact that this was initially meant to be an MMO makes me a bit sad. I think it could have turned out great! In regards to the world looking alive - anyone who has tried or plays Black Desert Online will instantly recognize that most (95%) of these NPCs do not have any 'routines' and occupy the exact same spot in the game world 24/7 - doesn't matter if it's day time or a night time, or what weather is outside. I hope I am wrong, I truly am, but having played Pearl Abyss games before and since most NPCs re-use Black Deserts animations (and some assets) I can almost guarantee that most NPCs just stand in one spot repeating one boring phrase over and over again. We will see at the actual release. Despite the above - visually it looks stunning and the combat looks very satisfying. It's also quite cool to see that the lore and the universe between Black Desert and Crimson Desert games seem to be closely connected/intertwined. Developers have also hired top voice actors (such as Alec Newman) to voice the game, which is awesome.
I figured this was garbage when it was first showcased years ago, but after i thought the same of black myth, my faith has kind of been restored so my hopes are fairly high for this. Also this isn't on UE5, it's the Black Desert engine
Same bro, I couldn’t trust these random games from these unknown studios but if they start coming out and being as good as wukong or stellar blade, then I’ll change my mind.
Honestly this game is going to be an absolutely masterpiece if the story and quests have had as much love as everything we're able to see in this video.
this game is currently at the top of the mental wish list. everything is beautiful, gameplay, graphics, level design, setting, everything. The only thing missing is a view that changes between first and third person like in TES.
World and visuals are beautiful, the story is...there, the gameplay looks smooth, the characters look great, the combat is alright. Overall a solid game
It's sad that we can't all just be excited about a game like this because we've been burned so many times in the past. I'm hopeful for this as it really does look like they've achieved something great.
It looks a bit to on the extreme side There's even blood effects on the edge of the screen when you hit an enemy, it makes little sense. I think they need to tone down the vfx and the post process effects in combat; it's too over the top.
