I will be trying to plane spot at Newark by the Ikea, like I heard the inside, by the food court window, u can see the planes from up there too. But I think it's expensive to park in that parking lot P6
I usually go to P6, which is where this video was shot. You have to pay to get in and the security is more strict about spotting. I’ve also been to Ikea a few times as well as the TA deck in terminal a but I wouldn’t really recommend it.
Most cargo 747s go to JFK, the only 747s Newark tends to get are cargo charters or UPS, Atlas Air, Kalitta Air, etc. which are usually around the holiday seasons from the increase of packages. Although there is a Kalitta 747-F coming once a week or so on top of the Lufthansa 747-8. As time goes on Newark should slowly get more 747 service again!
@@EastCoastAviation awesome! I was looking for a spot earlier and found one. We stayed in the Rideshare lot because it was under the approach and the planes flew really low over. I will try the economy lot next. Thanks!
Nice shots! Has the Port Authority relaxed the security measures for photographers there? I havent been to P6 in over 20yrs due to constant harassment by the security. Back then Port Authority Police would be on you within 10 minutes of you pulling into P6 or IKEA and getting your camera out!
Thanks! Port Authority is still heavily against photography especially at P6, I think Ikea is a little more relaxed. You just have to stay out of sight!
Thanks, although it was being filmed handheld with a telephoto lens and some decent winds; not the easiest to have smooth footage. Position wise I had no other choice, the better runway was closed and there's very strict security so you have to stay hidden.
@@wolfgangneuser8530 I’d rather not go looking for new locations I’ve never heard of. I know Newark extremely well and where to go for each runway. Also, not sure what you mean by “that’s how i did it” since you don’t have any videos.
@@EastCoastAviation like i wrote how i did it and i have no video anymore from Newark or any other airport. It was just a tip how to make a video from KEWR.
