I was baptized into the Episcopal Church in 2011, but in summer 2012 the Holy Spirit pulled my gaze eastward. I began attending a small OCA parish at my first duty station in the Navy and I was Chrismated on Pascha 2016.
Got introduced to orthodoxy by the churches in modern warfare 2 in Chernobyl. Always wondered what the weird cross was. From Judaism to orthodoxy and here I am. Glory to God who saves me daily.

I fell in love with the Icons and Chants at first. Then i decided to inform myself more about Orthodoxy. And fell in love with the church completely. It was the first time i felt Gods love and Close for a long time. I was baptized Catholic. Now i read the Bible more often and Pray and think about God more often and regret sinning.. i try to sin less but still i am weak. Im now close to be a catechumen to Russian Orthodox Church. So its your family's fault you cannot follow Christ? He did say that we might have to leave family in order to follow Him. Be careful that you are not inadvertently loving your family more than Christ and His Holy Church. You can still love your family, but we have to love CHRIST more than family and job and houses and lands and friends, etc. If Christ returns before you commit to the Church what will He say about you? How will you explain yourself to the One who gave up everything for you? Just something to consider...
@@eh3345 I have already gotten into contact with an orthodox priest who is now my spiritual father. According to his words, it is best for me to stay obedient to my parents. They are still christians after all, though they are pentecostal. He even stopped me from visiting the church on christmas because i wanted to ask my parents for me to go there as a christmas present and not because they finally accepted me. It is true what you say, and as for me it shall be orthodoxy or death. But i shall remain loyal to the advice of my priest.

I was introduced through this channel almost two years ago. I am unable to attend the Church near me, yet soon I will be able to go. been watching these videos for months , and almost 2 months ago Ive been going to the Orthodox Church in my city and I've been there now every week , even tough I have a very long road to go I know I will someday be an orthodox christian ! AMEN
Congratulations and Thank God! - this is a Gorgeous Compilation - I was mesmerized by Orthodoxy and the algorithm brought me here some few years ago ---- I was born pentecostal and it was excruciatingly cringe and embarrassing ---- I eventually became a worshiper of "sex drugs and rock n roll" and heavy metal. I was pursuing it's ethos of anger and hedonistic idolatry and dabbling in the occult and saturated in vexatious blasphemy and rage towards God while living as a barley functioning alcohol infused transient ---- - I by one in a million chance met a Romanian Orthodox but by bloodline was an Ashkenazi Jew named Issac a few years before I found chants and liturgy and homily, and everything Issac said went over my head back then and please pray for Him because He wasn't doing well but had zeal. He was literally attempting to live like the famous story called "into the wild" because southern California is a place full of basically mandatory pride of life and covetousness and a rat race of deadly and disrespectful inevitable road rage, and it was killing Him and He was on the verge of being on the streets as well because His parents divorced and took off and left Him with huge rent payments with a dead end menial job and it is impossible to find an applicable virtuous wife to start a Christian family over here.... Seriously, it's been easier for me to run ten miles, appear on TV and do a backflip here than find a favorable wife LOL!!!!! - I really appreciate everything and I don't deserve to take up space here - During the honeymoon phase of discovering Orthodoxy, I failed to find a church and eventually the cares of this life and the weariness of the desert heat melted off the new fervor I seemingly found for God - I stopped hating God because after I lost some girl that I wanted to hook up with for many years, I realized the value of the virtue of God coupled with discovering the astounding contrast between Protestantism and Orthodoxy - Whenever I fall upon theologi cal discourse, I seek to patch up the mental stab wounds and ridiculous cringe sayings that general and various forms of Protestantism seared upon my culture with the little that I was able to learn from Orthodoxy... - The phrase "Christ is risen" is a war cry of vengeance unto the demons that wreaked havoc upon our lives - Not all prots are cringe and some say orthodox things but whatever I endured made me pretty ugly and stupid 🤣
Finally new chants! I am german, and because of the language barrier and my music affinity, chants do play a even bigger role in my relationship with god. Especially the russian ones...

We can only unite under Christ and in Christ. I'd suggest you to dig a little deeper into Church History and figure out what changed in which Church compared to the first millennium of Christianity, and the faith of the apostles of our Lord.
