Decided to take some inspiration from vinnievega73 (instagram) and make a cheeky cup holder for my van.

I still don't appreciate what we have in our own country, over the next year I will show the best bits of Britain in my camper while also stretching a bit further a field to give some highlights of the most beautiful parts of Europe. Everyone loves a eurotrip!
I have started a van conversion so that me and my girlfriend can travel around the UK, Europe and maybe even maybe further afield. Living in a van can be so much fun and if you want to have as much fun as us then follow my how to videos and travel vlogs to living the vanlife.

Cheers for the plug Hugh and your welcome for the idea 😃👍🏼. Yours looks great with the addition for wallet and change 👍🏼👍🏼. Can’t wait to see the unit get up and running. Could do with somewhere to get our van in over the winter to continue making our kitchen units.

Turning your usb charger through 90 degrees would help in using the built in holder

Somewhere to put change for car parks and toll roads is a great idea, if your self employed somewhere to stash receipts would be good too 😀 the cup holder is a great idea, nice find 👍⭐️

You could also fit one of those usb outputs somewhere else so that you don’t need cables coming out of the cigarette lighter socket...

Hey Hugh. Liked the idea so much I've done in my Ducato motorhome (no cup holder?!? What am l... An animal?). However, I use a metal cup and I was concerned that if it got bumped out it could end up rolling around by the pedals... Could spoil your whole day! Therefore I've dropped the holder down about 14cm where there's a handy bit of plastic to screw into.

Great practical bit of workmanship, maybe would have been a better finish with the nails on the underside. But no big deal.

That's great!! Can you make me one lol. Think I would try Velcro or something less permanent for fixings but that's great. So annoying not have cup holders in the boxer.

Is the cupholder a friction fit? I'd be worried that it might slide around. A very good idea and perhaps a nice alternative to one of those plastic cupholders. My Fiat Ducato only has a single cupholder and that one was installed by the previous owner.

No there is a screw holding it on one side but it is pretty snug also!

1 HOUR to make a cup holder? Hell people are doing entire camper van builds in a day, one even claims otd possible in an hour. I could design a production line and basic processes to make thousands of these a day in one hour.

Hi Link I would love to see a conversion done in a day! That would be some serious hauling ass haha. My only issue with your comment is bringing negativity towards the process of someone creating something. At the end of the day does it really matter if I spend 10 days making a cup holder? If it makes me happy and if I am proud of what I made I feel time shouldn't be an issue.
