I am laughing at this at the Band-Aid montage. I’m dying of liver and pancreas cancer, lost my gallbladder, left kidney and had a full hysterectomy so I’ve had a lot of time watching the nurses, doctors and other patients.
I'll pray for you..I have never felt my mortality until now. I wish you a passing with loved ones, with no pain. One of my short stories ends with a cat talking- Old Tom didn't like all those tears, like they wouldn't see each other again. Oh, sure they would! Cause where the old man was going? Well Tom was going too, when the time was right,, Didn't the people know? We're all just passin' thru?
Gives you a look into her high school days, kinda like being able to talk to someone in history rather than asking for an edited version. Interesting as long she's not YOUR grandma.
I had a surgery patient who was in for a laparoscopic gallbladder removal. She was very pregnant and was in pre-op with her husband and two children. She was concerned that when we make an incision in her belly button that it might cut the baby’s umbilical cord. That was an interesting conversation and teaching moment.
