Devi, these new practices combine everything you teach so well, I really feel empowered and aware after the sequences. I'm looking forward to a more in depth Yin Teacher Training soon!
Back to the Complete Yin Series today. Started with this series back in late Oct. 2023. Then on to the awesome 30 Day Challenge. Looking forward to your live sessions. Thank you Devi. Namate 🙏
I’m new to yin yoga. Parts of this were hard. I’m going to do your third 60 min this week. I really like this. It’s helping me take care of my elderly parents.
Thanks for commenting Sarah! I hope your new yin journey continues to support you as you care for your parents. When any posture feels too hard, you can always try the easier variation, or just skip it!
I feel more connection to the alignments in my spine after this session-- and very aware how fascia and breathing and emotions can sort of connect, relax, and realign tension. That's my honest experience of this particular session. Thank you.
I love Yin Yoga and I love practicing with you. I am also a certified yoga teacher with training in Yin and I teach it too. It's always great to be guided by a different teacher than yourself sometimes. I really appreciate the hour long classes. I have been doing more of them lately. Thanks Devi. Namaste 🙏
Wow what a great sequence Devi! Golden Gate, Banana and my favorite Snail/Plow. So few teachers include that pose. As challenging as it is , I think it's the number one pose for spinal health. Thanks again
Gosh, Devi, it just keeps getting better. Today I was a lot more tense and could not follow as well as last time, however, I am doing the best I can in a new day. Your instructions are so helpful guiding me home to myself. Even if I don't go as deep I am appreciative of the level of awareness I do have. Thanks again Devi. Namaste'
My Gosh, Devi, this was a beautiful practice. So grounding. I loved the music and all the breathless instructions, guiding me towards my body and awareness of the sensations within. Truly wonderul. Namaste'. thanks so much!!!!
I really enjoyed this class. Glad you gave another option for the saddle pose which was hard on my knees. I hope this helps my lower back which has been a little sore. Thank you!
A wonderful session. I so enjoy, that you are speaking to the energy flow within the body, rather, than speaking on a certain topic/lecturing. It is so helpful to ground deeper into the body and let the mind have a break.
Another very relaxing practice, amazing ! My spine was able to handle seal today, it has been a while since last time ! And I discovered a new bind : in rolling panda, the hand underneath grabs the foot of the leg that goes to the outside (I'm sure you see what I'm trying to describe😉). I don't know if it's recommended, but it's fun and calming for me, like all binds are. Thank you Devi for this great class 🙏🙏
Glad to hear you’re continuing to recover and that you’re discovering variations that work for you! I haven’t tried this variation of rolling panda yet, but it sounds very interesting!
Thank you Devi! This was divine. I can see that this practice and the series is very well thought. I especially liked the body-scan in shivasana. I prefer my yin practices to have more silence/minimal cues, so all the talking in this one was a little bit distracting. I can see myself repeating this practice/series in the future.
Thanks for practicing with me, Sonja! Yes, this series is indeed more heavily guided, and that’ by design. It will not suit everyone but I’m glad to hear you plan to return.
I started in a really bad mood caused from premenstrual syndrome.. but now I feel much better and more positive ❤ thanks so much How much do you practice Devi? Everyday? For how long?
Glad to hear this helped your mood! I practice yin 3 times a week and I añwsys start with a more flowy warmup, similar to how this session is structured.
This was great! Is it supposed to be one class three times a week and one class per week? I did number one yesterday, and this one today. I’ve been off the mat for 4 weeks due to illness, so I just need the deep stretching, but I am curious as to how the “weekly yin sessions” are supposed to be done. Thanks.
