@@shashwatgodayal3008 no, I have been following snooker for 30 years but I have never heard of him. I mainly follow the Mongolian and Jamaican leagues so maybe he doesn’t play there.
You don’t watch or follow snooker I suppose because Sir! Ronnie already is a legend. 7 times world champion! Only other guy holding 7 world titles is Stephen Hendry. If Ronnie keep playing then hopefully there’s gonna be an 8th time too. Dear sir! I’m a little offended by your comment bc Ronnie O’Sullivan is an inspiration for the snooker players around the world.
Alex Higgins is the man who changed snooker a lot. All the youngs players - even a Ronnie O'Sullivan - saw what can be done. If it wasn't for Higgins I guess the game today would be different.
Dunno; many amazing things happen in exhibitions. Jimmy’s top spin on that pink meanwhile… Great as he was Higgins could also be an ass. That Cliff Thorburn incident where he said he didn’t hear him call the green I think it was.
Without doubt the GOAT. Consider the quality of His opposition and the standard of the modern game. These guys are amazing and Ronnie the best of all. It’s an honour to watch.
Alex Higgins was so entertaining back in the day. A wild player, he just seemed to throw the cue at the balls like a madman and the most outrageous shots went in. Saw him in a pub in Padiham years ago, there was only him and me in, I didn’t bother him, he was reading the Racing Post and having a pint, waiting for his driver to pick him up. I always think its tacky when people get starstruck and hassle famous people in public.
We've all pulled off outrageous trebles, 4 ball plants or potted along a cushion at distance; deliberately but rarely. It's the shots that only the top pro's can pull off; potting at distance and screwing back almost 2 metres, off a cushion with side and landing perfectly on the next ball, or something a mere mortal could never do, that really gets my admiration.
@@obscurazone On the face of it, yeah. But that explosion tells me there was more going on at that moment. The self-hitting is just sad. I have a developmentally disabled nephew who used to do the same thing because he’d get so frustrated at not being able to communicate.
bystander. what is truly amazing is that Alex told Virgo in the middle of the break that he will pot the black one handed. you can watch the whole frame on RU-vid. I did at least. That one is my favorite too.
Looney Tunes version when? Actually I looked up whether anybody had claimed the name "Space Pot", but all the results were of people playing on a different sort of green...
Ronnie crying my God that record equalling 7th World Title meant a lot to him he will win an 8th if his heart is in it I think he's fallen out of love with Snooker again but if he's in top form he really is a rocket
Looking forward to the world champtionship here in Sheffield next month. I keep meaning to get a ticket but forget then leave it too late, although I have been a few times in the past.
the fact that it goes along the cush, ok thats one thing, but then it hits the knuckle of the middle pocket and then swerves around the blue to go into the middle pocket..thats completley something else
Honestly, I would walk out of the match sh*t scared.. never ever imagined it.. the speed was really like black magic. For the cueball to swerve around the blue than to straighten up again to go in the middle. It's impossible. I've seen some flukes in my lifetime, but this tops all time records. On another level completely.
hehe when the guy sneezed, steve was great at making comedy snooker games for a laugh with people, I like how small and hidden the indication moment was to tell the other one the time to sneeze, him and dennis were the best at these types of laughs
@@krisbarr5663 Yea from Morcombe and wise wasn't it? I remember some bits about it but I was only a kid in the 80s, my dad chatted about bits and bobs like that to my granddad or other people, I know they were famous but actually, I wouldn't have noticed it were him if you hadn't said nor his full name was Eric Morecombe lol I remember my dad chatting about that and then getting me into other bits like only fools and horses or what have you, but my mum always said she loved Tommy Cooper. Bit of my life for you there, sorry lol Just reminded me of bits
I love that this video is called "one in a trillion moments" and you just threw Ronnie O'Sullivan missing a straight in shot in there. Yep that's about right! :)
Anyone know where the footage of Eddie Charton is where he hits the ball off 3 cushions from a snooker to then slice the yellow and sink it into the top left hand pocket? I've searched for years to find it but never have
My favourite Rocket moment: He’s on for a 147. Checks what the prize amount is for a 147. It’s not the greatest. Decides NOT to finish 147!!! Ronnie is on another plane of existence.
I used a slingshot to shoot my chapstick up into the air about 100 feet, it landed standing on end on the asphalt. Unsure if it bounced or not. Had a witness. Blew both our minds.
What about Alex Higgins @8:00 (!) dude was a natural the equal of O'Sullivan, only severely troubled, self-handicapped. A man of the people I'd say, squandered all his earnings, but everything he purchased was someone else's income.
I didn't know there was a fun version of snooker. Where can I watch this fun snooker? They should show it on tele instead of the other, normal snooker. Or as well as.
A word of advice if I may, when you put a caption on the clips, leave them on long enough for people to read without the need to rewind and pause. Other than that, good compilation.
