Wow amazing performance by the south Carolina Women team this afternoon was a tough and physical and mental game tonight but by the end of the clock they came out in top.Hopefully they will win the championship this year. Great contributions tonight and efforts from Ashlyn,Kamilla ,Te-hina, Raven Johnson and Tessa Johnson tonight.But for me the MVP player goes to Tessa Johnson her 19 points lead South Carolina to the victory and prevented them from being eliminated. But on the defense end this afternoon was a big and great game coming from Kamila her 15 points and 17 rebounds This is a great night for Gamecocks fans and Dawn Stanley as well.

There is one heck of a "Lifetime" movie when we speak of "Dawn Staley" and her accomplishments. A college champion, a multiple time champion as a college coach, an Olympic gold medal champion as a player on multiple occasions as well as being an Olympic multiple time gold medal winner as a coach. She came from an area where nothing good was ever supposed to materialize and she proved every one wrong. Her hard work, dedication, drive and indominable belief and spirit held her when all the odds said surrender, it held her when all that stood before her was controversy, it sustained her when the only clear way to problem rectification appeared to be to give in, but she took another path and rose again after being bloodied, beaten and battered. Those are some very mean streets, "Diamond Streets" from 20th to 33rd fraught with danger every city block. A gang connection for most of the length. "Dobbins High School" had its risks and concerns as well. She navigated some very intense pieces of real estate and set a course that has truly delivered her upon peaceful shores. As a fellow alumnus I am proud of her success and wish her many more years as the "BEST COACH IN BASKETBALL"!

Let us not forget the phenomenal performance by Chloe Kitts ( Double Double) 14 pts, 10 rebounds. Between Kitts & Kardozo they outrebounded the entire Iowa team 31-29. This is the very reason the outside jumper was open because Carolina pounded the boards (51-29 advantage). Fundamental basketball ladies & gentlemen and Coach Staley knows it.

SC was the better team. SC outshot Iowa by 8 percentage points overall, by 2 percentage points from 3, had 22 more rebounds, more blocks, more assists, and more steals. Definitely SC was better. Iowa had to outshoot SC from 3, shot mediocre and LOST.

Wow Iowa relies too much on Clark, and Clark relies too much on her 3 pt. shot. No inside game at all for Iowa. South Carolina is almost the opposite, strong inside but bricklayers from the outside. South Carolina had 9 players to score. Iowa only had 5 players to scor. I figured a complete team would eventually beat the team that focused on their one player. South Carolina dominated on the boards, I saw so many offensive rebounds, and then they scored on those. They blocked a lot of shots also, South Carolina was just the best team. I'm so glad they won.

South Carolina played well but to quote Dawn Staley from earlier in the season "give the game ball to the officials" for all the missed calls on SC players for over the back and pushing down low fouls they didn't but should've called!

For reasons, why the jealousy, racism from the other athletes was on high drama level. These are women who lived according to their own Stereotypes. Where Clark shattered the stereotypes, the ceiling, went outside the box as woman. But, cultivated in a traditional, Conservative, Community. Not all things, should be Thuggish, Ghetto or Street. Including being LBQXYZ, when you play the game Basketball. Unfortunately, the over educated Black Woman. Who wants that image, to divide and conquer their own Black identity. Caitlin it is honor, to watch you, and it was YOU. That brought in the people and NCAA ratings. Dawn Statley, and S.C never done that! I thank you, for your class, your confidence, and next generations will remember you and learned to be you. You have earned it! And have every Right to be so Proud! And, every Natural Woman is too!
