A chapter by chapter and verse by verse study of 1 John taught by Pastor Paul LeBoutillier of Calvary Chapel Ontario, Oregon. Visit us at www.ccontario.com for online studies through the entire Bible.
Hi pastor Paul. I like so much the series of messages that you teach. That I use them when I am teaching the Scriptures. I translate them into Spanish. May God continues blessing you to spread God's word with wisdom.
Amazing Pastor Paul! I needed this preaching! I am free from all my sins and accept God to forgive me! POWERFUL preaching! May He continue to bless you and change lives
Thank you, Lord, for giving us Pastor Paul, I am so blessed every time I tune into his messages online, even if I'm way out here in Manila, I'm so blessed to be able to just hear him explain everything in full context. I pray that I can visit his church someday..

Just want to say to all of those who got saved after marriage snd partner is not yet saved or whatever the situation is. The prayer of the righteous avalieth much. God has a plan and a intention to reunite every soul with Him. God plan sometimes includes loving those that don't know who love is. Jesus. Just like hosea. Keep praying and preparing he will restore their spirits to his and connect you two together fully. ❤️❤️
God bless your coming in and your going out pastor Paul. May God give your a fresh anointing to teach us in Jesus name. I am soooooo ministered too. Thank you
Listening to this message is life changing for me because I am one of those Christians that also understood this passage wrong. God is so good and faithful to us. I asked God to help me understand this chapter spiritually and He did. Wow thank you Jesus.
Just wanted to say thank you for your obedience to Christ and serving him through your gifts your teachings have been a blessing such a kind spirit God bless you and your family 🙏
Jesus is God in the flesh :) Thank you for saying that! It's so hard to trust anyone these days, but saying that confirms that you are speaking by the Holy Spirit. May God bless and protect you, your family and congregation!
God has definitely blessed you with teaching and I am so happy that He led me to your RU-vid channel...if you ever make DVD of your teaching sermons I will buy them for my mother...God bless!!
I would totally agree the written words from the KJV is the way! It may be easier to understand the other versions in the ESV etv but you feel the spirit of God in the original translation. Just my opinion of course. God bless you!
Except that the KJV is nothing close to "the original translation." The King James Bible didn't get translated into English until one thousand, six hundred years AFTER John wrote this letter.
I unfortunately do not experience spiritual fellowship in my own church. I came to Christ 4 years ago and sure I've made friends but none seem to want to read the Bible together and learn.
Thank you so much pastor for this teaching on 1st John. It's so amazing to me when. The one I sat through was full of law burden and works. Yours was full of of truth love forgiveness hope and joy. Thank you again.
I cut my teeth on the KJV and I still use it but I find myself reading other versions because I get a better understanding. I like the way the KJV reads but I know that it not the only version, even though I have been taught to believe that.
Thank you for sharing such powerful and liberating insights of the Word. I discovered your teachings during Covid and in many respects you have become my online pastor for biblical teachings and study. Praise God for your gifting and the anointing that breaks the yoke. I have recently just come to the end of the bible study on Joshua, it took me a while but was worthwhile. There was so much I learned and things I didn't realise, I got stuck on the last few chapters as I was pressing to enter into my own 'promised land'. Well I sensed the Holy Spirit till me to rest, and stop striving and my breakthrough came. Amen 🙏🏽
Thank you brother. I struggle with feeling lost but 1 john 1:9-10 reminds me that if we confess our sin, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse from all unrighteousness. I fall down but he picks me back up, having paid all my sins on the cross. Truly Jesus has the words of life.
Paul, I enjoyed your examination of verse 7. It reminds me of that beautiful hymn, “There is a fountain filled with blood.”. “There is a fountain filled with blood Drawn from Immanuel’s veins; And sinners, plunged beneath that flood, Lose all their guilty stains”
I love your teachings. Happy listening to you for years. With all respect though descripture does give an example of being slain in the spirit. When the soldiers came to take Jesus into custody, Jesus asked them, whom do you seek? When they answered him, he said I am He. They all fell down...
No, that is NOT being slain in the spirit. Those people were enemies of Jesus who came to arrest Him and they were knocked down for VERY different reasons than is claimed by those who believe in the concept of "slain in the Spirit." Those two things have nothing in common.
That’s for this love your teachings! I would just challenge the point about being no examples or concept of being slain in the spirit. We do see examples of people falling to the ground or being overwhelmed by the presence of God that are in keeping with what Spain in the spirit denotes. I get wanting to not do anything spiritually out of order but sometimes over negative reaction to others wrong views can lead to suppresssion of some elements of the working of the spirit God bless you
God bless you Pr. Paul for availing yourself as an honorable vessel in the house of God. I follow you and mum Sue, and entire team at Calvary chapel, from Rwanda, East Africa❤❤❤❤
Great teaching Pastor..... much learned. Thank you and God bless you and our Christian family....we wait.... we watch.....we pray and we keep looking up. Gilly wife of Mark
I completely understand meeting a fellow believer and feeling like family AND in other situations being the only believer among many new age non believers
Thanks you guys for sharing. Here’s to having a nice cold drink and quick chitchat with you in Heaven one of these days (I can only assume it would be fanboying about our great God and Savior Jesus ;)
Professor of Theology and Biblical Studies Wayne Grudem states that while the phrase "slaying in the Spirit" is not found in Scripture, there are a number of instances where people are described as falling to the ground or falling into a trance in the presence of God. Three disciples fell face-down to the ground, overwhelmed, on the mount of transfiguration.
I’ve been listening to you for about a year. I also listen to Calvary Church skip Heitzig and I like to see the different points you bring out and he brings out. Also love to listen to David PAWSON he is an old timer that one of the old-time pastors turned me onto super good if you get a chance, check it out really need to go back to the old timers before some of the stuff got lost tradition that is keep up the great work God bless!
Cleanses present, you and I will have continual cleansing, each day each hr. ❤Holy spirit is our helper, and cleanses. It's not easy to be exposed to our own sin fullness. 😊
Great message. I do disagree on the definition of walking in the light. We can see the gospel of John and in chapter 1 he starts to reveal the definition of the light. I believe that the definition that John uses to walk in the light is to walk in the "thruth" we can also see definitions of the word light in other books like Mathew 4.
If you haven't studied KJV then you can't say KJV has more depth. For every 1 similarity between KJV and ESV, there is 50 differences. You can take from all of them but to act like you don't loose good stuff straying from KJV is wrong.
Presents the summons for the children of God to act righteously. The prologue of the Gospel of John presented the mission of the incarnate Word to be “to give authority” to those who receive and believe in him “to become children of God”.
I appreciate the word of Jesus. Some men Tel it more compelling than others. We tend to hold these men in high regard. But we should only praise Jesus not the messenger
Good morning, I was wondering what happened to you other I John series? (I was making my way through and was in chapter 5) Did the content get deleted, or just moved? Thanks for all you do!
