@@kevinschoales844 In OpenTherm the device talks to the controller. A two way conversation. The OpenTherm standard was initially designed for one input device, so only one conversation. So if you have a weather compensation sensor (a device) and room temperature sensor (a device) then only one could be used. For e.g., the OpenTherm in the boiler talks to the weather compensator temperature sensor modulating the burner, with _on-off_ for the room temperature control. Now with _this_ boiler the two can talk to the controller, with _both_ modulating the burner. OpenTherm is _open._ That is, you can use many companies devices, not just the proprietary devices of the manufacturer (which tend to be expensive).
Thanks for that John, we have installed Intergas since 2006 with weather compensation sensor, now use a Smart Wiser set up so existing installations can use both, didn't know that, thanks for advise.
@@dzmalekvali1110 Simple job to diagnose and fix. Nice to know it is fixed. I _think_ this is the same flow switch used in a plethora of boilers, inc' Vaillant. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-m8E4L1DTdzU.html
