These Azerite treasures are nuts and I love them.

I think Overflow Surger needs to be a 3/3 to be powerful enough. Even then I’m not sure it will be worth it. Possibly even a 4/3. The 2 health is pretty bad I agree. Priest has ways to deal with that easily, Arcane Hunter can as well, warlock can clean up most of it too. Frost Death Knight can and so can Plague Death Knight. Those are just the ones off the top of my head. It needs more health and the fact that it has to be a chain is why I think it deserves more attack on top of the health buff.

tae'thelan would be fun with c'thun pieces. They're all the perfect mana cost and would count for this card.

I discovered your videos for Badlands, they are really really good. Colourful, good sound quality, good analysis. Just curious though, is there an artistic reason for doing the scores at the end? For me, I'm thinking the scores "during" the analysis might be good as I tend to forget what you had said when you whizz through at the end. Either way, great vids, glad I found your channel.

I want a 10 cost elemental with battlecry: deal 3 damage to an enemy for each turn in a row you've plyed an elemental. Then if you manage to go all the wayx ten turns without missing you can just do 30 to face

The mage legendary isn’t Reno since mage is an excavate class and all the highlander classes oppose excavating

Tae’thelan Bloodwatcher is a horrible Legendary for Mage. There’s no way that it ever survives one turn. This card is way too balanced that makes it unplayable; the only way it is playable is that it allows for spells to be 0 mana. 🤦🏻‍♂️

Do the elemental chains count playing themselves? And if they do, does 1 count? It would at least help the floor on the cards.

Question for overflow surger / other cards with the same logic.. Does it count the turn it is played? If I play an elemental on turn 3 and then surger on 4, does it summon 1 copy (ele on 3) or two (ele 3 and ele on 4, being itself?) Alternatively but similar logic, if I played an ele on turn 5, and on turn 6 played a small elemental and then surger, would I summon two copies (turn 5, turn 6 small)?

I feel like Azerite Vein is actually somewhat reasonable since even though it's somewhat low impact, it seems kind of difficult to specifically play around especially in the early turns where you don't necessarily have a big hand and thus lots of options to avoid playing cards you got that turn. It doesn't seem too unreasonable for a midrange deck to be forced to play into the secret on a turn 4/5 play, which makes this card somewhat comparable to the treasure that gets you a free 5 cost card.

I see a world where Overflow Surger lines up with Flame Revenant (2 mana 2/3, after you summon an elemental give it +1/+1) that could be in an aggro elemental mage deck

I think only giving a few classes the excavate legendaries is a bad move. I mean its pretty insane for there to just be this payoff for a few classes that not all of them can have. Its like if only 4 classes got questlines in United in stormwind

About the elementals in a row, does it count your current turn? Cause like if you have played elementals on 1,2 and 3 and playing the lava guy on 4, does it count as if it's 4 turns in a row, hence summoning four copies for a total of five? Or just does not count the current turn as a part of the "in a row" shenanigans

Can you keep excavating the T4s over and over? Or does excavate reset? Or does the keyword deactivate after you get to the 4th one?

Tae'thelan + discovered shadow copy is discount of 8 for 5 mana using rewind it is can be kinda consisted.(+ stargazing to make rewind more consistent) We only need something to that make sense discount by 8

That elemental card looks like a prime target for mid-season buffs. One to keep your eye on.

when you excavate the last tier like the rat or the bird for mage, does it reset back to the first tier when u excavate after u get to the last tier?

I think the Surger on 4 is good if you got your chain. That means you already played 3 turns of elementals they had to remove. This is a board refill. Now how strong is the rest and how consistent...dunno.

Doesn't overflow surger summon at minimum an extra one ? If you haven't played an elemental, you are 1 turn in a row of playing elementals. If you played an elemental on turn 3, and this on turn 4, you're 2 turns in a row, so you get 2 extra (3 total)

i wasn't hyped to this expansion but MY SWEET BABY JESUS, WILL IT BE FUN

I opened up the Hearthstone website this morning thinking 'Wonder how they're gonna mess up mage this time' and... yeah. I mean, the excavate reward is good, but overall... One elemental, one hand mage card, one secret to dilute the pool for the other random secret card, and the mandatory casino legendary every two expansions. Just yesterday we had druid getting 8 cards for the new dragon package, and today we have mage with 3 cards for excavate and 6 random cards. Can Blizz at some point get their stuff together and figure out a real identity for this class aside from lol random?

I can't with you putting these excavate treasured in my face at the video! I'm stuck there for a few seconds trying to process wtf I'm seeing!

Does Tae'thelan break the Coin? It is a card that doesn't start in your deck and since it can't cost less than 1 does that mean the coin would cost 1 while Tae'thelan is in play?

Tae'Thelan is a funny Sunwell card at least.

It really does feel like the latter half of these reveals have somehow powercrept the first half. How do you have something like the priest reveals and then bring out the steal 10 health or 1 free titan cards lol

Only one i sightly disagree on is sunset volley being a 2 star card. Feels like a slightly worse astalor to me w/potential spell synergies. I would bump it up to 3 stars personally

Sunset Volley should have been a Holy or Arcane spell. Even a Nature spell, like solar eclipse

I'm just gonna add Reliquary Researcher to my Sif Secret Mage to keep an Objection online every turn lol. I can already do this right now too.

19:19 this design decision is counterintuitive and makes for bad cards. It should remember the last streak.

Ine of the sad things about bloodwatcher is it has anti syngery with a lot of the cheat generate cards cos i think it will set a 0 mana card to one like mana biscuit. But will need to see

If you excavate for the 5th time do you get the Azerite animal legendary again?

I wonder if they do the mini set like they do this standard expansion. So that maybe the highlander classes get excavate support and vice versa. Like 3 cards are what all classes get for excavate support, just difficult to give them 5 classes highlander legendary payoffs :/ But i think its an interesting thought

I'm not saying the Hawk is a bad treasure, but it is a thoroughly uncreative one in my opinion. It just gives you a card from the last set; it could have done something like "fire your Hero Power at random enemies 10 times" or something. Reference the Dragonhawk of old, and bring back Hero Power Mage with magical-gunslinger flavor. Very disappointing, all around.

I can see azurite vein clips already. Opponents excavates awesome treasure and plays it same turn and the azurite vein wins the game lol
