This game honestly reminded me of a blowout with a close score. In the sense that the scoreboard read only a 14 point difference but on the field it was more brutal
Polys are big as hell yo. I remember having to go against one in a game (im like 5'11 205 at MLB) dude picked me up and pancaked me. Had to be at least 6'7
Bosco fans paid $300 to see their team take an L... Honestly tho, gg to both teams. This Mater Dei team is absolutely nuts. That 2017 MD squad was hella good but imo this years team might be the best high school football team of all time. They've won easily against every opponent they've played including multiple teams ranked in the national top 10. I mean they literally have no weaknesses; they got dawgs at every single position both offense and defense.
@@smothersu3932 BOSCO steals players from Community High Schools, and makes all these promises of Division 1 stars.. It's sad, because after high school most are forgotten. Bosco the High School franchise, under the disguise of a non-profit.
Bryce young was the difference in that game, he has matured so much that in my opinion he is one of the greatest quarterbacks in history. The man makes some of the best decisions I have ever seen. Props from Maryland.
This Mater Dei team just might be the best ever in high school history.. From the Offense to Defense they are just savages on the field. Salute to SJB football team still 2nd Best in the Country and should still remain #2 on the top 25 list and whats crazy is they will most likely play again in the playoffs/championship game so SJB football will have action at some revenge and for that #1 spot...Stay on yall Grind fellas!! Southern Cali do it the BEST!!
lol you on crack bruh. bosco dont belong on the field with md. lucky the refs kept yall in the game with those bs calls. otherwise it would of got ugly
Not likely. MD was without one of its starting OL on a one-game suspension, forcing the nose guard to play OL. With Levasa back and Drew back on D, it’ll be even worse for y’all. Plus our #1 slot should be healed up by Nov 30, so don’t count on it.
MD had over 200 yards in penalties. This game could have been ugly. They gave Bosco 5 free first downs when they were going to have to punt. At one point it was 3rd and 26 and MD gave them 55 yards in penalties on that drive to keep the drive going. If MD cleans up the penalties from being over aggressive they beat Bosco by 20+, and whoever thinks DJ is better than Bryce other than his parents are on crack rock or meth.
@@sandiego1936 that has nothing to do with my comment, my comment is me wanting to see two teams play, your comment is talking about two QBs. And St Frances is a school, not a player.
This reminds me of Oregon vs USC both powerhouses back in 2012 Oregon has the lead and no matter if SC would do their best to catch up Oregon fired back to maintain their lead, this game is a solid representation of that that two powerhouses but of course MD proved why they are a dynasty 🐐🔥👌
Ok, been watching a lot of these games during the pandemic, haven’t seen the connection between #9 and #4 on mater dei stopped once. Like not one time. so that’s Bryce young and Epps- anyone know where they gonna play in college? Am I late on this?
Why would you write that? Maybe the parents want a respectable school environment where you must respect the teachers and say Yes Sir! Yes Ma'am? This is why these schools send 97% of their graduates to college then onto respectable outcomes?
@@haroldminor1150 I stand by my statement.. Most of these kids are there because they're athletic.. I'm not saying they're dumb either.. Being smart is a plus.. Their parents know that more likely they'll have a better chance going to college coming out of a big high school powerhouse.. All I'm trying to say is that this team doesn't have home grown talent.. I'm from Texas.. All the northern schools recruit kids.. There's only a few small town true powerhouses here.. Callallen Wildcats in South Texas is one of them
@@ibleedblue0518 you have it all wrong. You can't compare apples to oranges. If a family drives past three public schools to send their son to a Catholic school; how is that recruiting? Catholic schools don't have defined districts like public schools do?
Y’all should come ta Washington and cover the union vs camas game it’s not the game to miss it’s the game of the week out here it’s for a three way tie for league champs don’t miss so plz try to come and cover plz reply to I wanna know what y’all think
Jeremiah skatesalot I bet he’ll still rack up a bunch of rushing yards at Alabama... he’s as good as passer as he is a runner so he’ll be keeping the defense honest either way..
Sam Randall I hope he decommits from Alabama. He won’t play until his senior year. Why would you go there? He should go to Oregon, Stanford, Cal or Washington, I can see him at Michigan or Clemson as well
Byron Blue good question... don’t they have Tua’s little brother as a backup right now along with another solid sophomore QB Mac Jones? I really don’t understand that decision for Bryce to all of a sudden choose that situation over USC.
I would honestly love either Mater Dei or St. John Bosco to face a 9-0 Covington Catholic here in Kentucky. They're the top team in Kentucky, and they ended the game last night against a 7-1 Conner at halftime as the score was already 45-7 AT Conner. I know Cov Cath would probably get blown out, but I would really love to see this game
The competition is much much tougher here in the west though. Mater Dei and St John Bosco play some of the toughest teams around the US. ST Francis, DeMatha, DC, Our Lady of Good Counsel (Olney, MD) Mililani (Mililani), HI, St. John's (Washington, DC), Centennial (Peoria, AZ) These teams are much better than what Covington plays! If Covington Catholic had the schedule that Mater Dei or Bosco had no way they would be 13-0
@@seratchi362 How about Mission Viejo, Del La Salle or IMG before seeing a Mater Dei or SJB?? I think St Francis Academy is just a QB away from being great and the same as Mater Dei.
I'm wishing for a Trinity League vs Texas showcase like they did this year with Trinity vs USA. Can you imagine Mater Dei vs Duncanville, Bosco vs Katy, Servite vs Allen? Texas wouldn't commit though.
MD built different…got the old breed blood in them(patch on their uniform) I live in Texas and I can comfortably say, cali has the best players in the country.
Bob Jose oh wow 6a. So scary lmao. San Antonio’s majority of hsfb is 6a and they’re trash. Oh y’all have them Dallas teams? Big fuckin whoop. They never schedule out of state teams that could legitimately beat them, NS afraid to play MD. Face the facts little boy, Texas hsfb ain’t what it used to be.
Players nowadays showboat way too much. Like after every single catch or run is some dumb gesture, bro just play. Especially if your the losing team boscos last TD that wr celebrated or when the bosco db made the big hit and stood over the wr like he hasnt giving up like 300 passing yards. Like bro, your team is getting bent over and you and the rest of the dbs gave up like 4 TDs maybe you should just go sit the down
Goatbe Bryant very true but I really hope they be careful with the slants cause those are dangerous routes and St frances got him like 3xs he could lose to an injury really fast
JBW what do you mean not true? Slants are dangerous and he was getting lit up he literally stayed on the floor to catch his air I’ve had my fair share of big hits while doing a slant
Goatbe Bryant I understand that but unfortunately that’s not the point I’m making here the point is the coach needs to pay attention to what kind of a defense this kid can run into while doing a route that leaves him vulnerable
What you are seeing is the two best teams in the country nobody and I mean nobody can beat these two teams big props to MD and special big up to "Showtime #4" Mr Epps Ive been a witness since little League.......Cali Ball All The Time ...And Before You try to chime in make sure you give respect to the two best teams repping Cali First!!!!!!!!
This may be the best mater dei team ever. I know md had some greats especially when the browns and jt Daniels but this may be the best coached team ever. They don't make mistakes
@@tangeray10gintonic82 And here is another strong one.....STFU and quit making bullshit opinions when you know all the other teams got weaker which makes mater dei look stronger. You know what.... I better see you in the comments when they in the championship
because if you play a zone, you will get no pressure on the QB, MD O line is great, young will just sit back there and pick apart the zone. They tried to get pressure by sending extra men, but the DB's didnt match up well or young extended the play with his legs. Its pick your poison with MD, they are stacked at every level and position.
So weird seeing Bosco with 0 run game after last year, they played well enough in the trenches though to maybe have it a bit closer in the champ game but still don't see them winning unless one of the WRs goes off for like 3TDs. MD made most of them look average last night
@@nathang4848 when was the last time fla had #1 and 2 ranked teams nationally? And for multiple years? Or a repeat national champ? And you are talking alot for a place that is like what 1-8 outta state this year and had your best team lose to MD last year. Be thankful DLS took the STA game from Bosco or you would literally have nothing to say big guy😴
when was the last time Cali had #1 and 2 public ranked teams nationally? And for multiple years? Or a repeat public national champ? NEVVVEEERR BECAUSE CALI OVERA-RA-RATTED!!!!! AAHHHHHH!!
