This game was so stressful to watch as a Wolverine fan. The special ran really needs to work on their nerves, but seeing both the offense and the defense persevere was really something else. In the moment I was too stressed out to enjoy it, but after the fact, it was an amazing game to watch. One thing that isn’t shown is the missed pat after the second TD. It shouldn’t have had to go to over time

You could definitely hear the announcer being a BAMA fan. He got so excited about BAMA scoring and sounded depressed when Mich scored that OT TD

Michigan has the top defense in the nation but it is still underestimated by most outside the Big Ten for how effective it is. Milroe had an abysmal game because of the pressure and coverage and Alabama could not make the running game work like they normally could. The biggest O-line got run through over and over with constant pressure to force quick throws. Washington is seriously in for some trouble. They have not seen a defense like Michigan has that completely denies any reliance on the long game and gets into the head of the O-line and QB to create mistakes. Washington has a great offense but it will be seriously tested against the Michigan defense. Washington is used to out scoring for a win. With the defense Michigan will bring and a competent offense against a Washington defense that is nothing exceptional, I think Washington fans are in for a rough night. Just check the opponent stats from their Michigan games. Only 150 yard average passing, held to 10 average points, and long games virtually non-existent with average per completion being under 6 yards. Alabama only got 116 passing yards in an overtime game. Penix should do better than that, but not enough to outperform a solid Michigan offense that outscored its opponents an average of over 3x and is extremely efficient at converting in clutch 4th down situations. Washington is going to be very outmatched by a team that has not gotten near the credit it deserves from those outside the Big Ten.

I still can’t understand how this Alabama team beat Georgia the way they did. And all those UGA fans saying they would’ve beat Michigan. Go sit in the corner and polish your orange bowl trophy.

I projected Michigan winning. Michigan had the better defense, better offensive line, was penalized less, and had a better turnover margin. Alabama had the better QB, better offense, and got more explosive plays. Michigan 4 Alabama 3, I projected a narrow Michigan win. Spoiler alert, boy was I right!
