If you're scrolling through comments....let me help you out🙂 you don't actually get 1 million gold in ten minutes, he just shows you how you will eventually get 1 million gold but the VIDEO is exactly ten minutes....your welcome
I do want to comment, you mentioned it's better to go 0-3 in a draft than spend on the gems. Does this factor in the value on mythic/rare wildcards you can't get in drafts, plus the fact that packs will never duplicate a mythic/rare card you already own a play set of? A new player will for sure value wildcards way higher than someone with a more complete play set.
@@marklieberman1527 yes, that was my experience, an i did over 30 Quick D. to farm the most important rares of the set... in other sets i used to farm the entire rare collection with less than 40 QD, than opening all the packs in 1 time. In BRO. W. i stopped at 30 cause i was too far from the 240 rares. Anyway in 30 QD of BRO it happened to me just 3 times to have a rare passed. In other sets this happened 1-2-3 times per draft... its very sad 😔
the bots absolutely do draft rares at a higher rate than real players do. this has been studied by a few different people. so its not apples to apples in terms of set completion.
I’m not very good at English so I can’t fully understand this video. Can somebody tell me the win rate mentioned in the video is in which format. I have 40% wr in construct and 60% wr in jump in
Having a higher win rate can be relevant for completing daily wins faster, but only drafts and ranked have winrate "deadlines" for each level of return on investment.
Honestly, I'm more confused after watching the video than before. Nothing was properly explained. The spreadsheet is nice but there are so many abbreviations so for someone not familiar with them, you can't even use it.
OMG, just realized i forgot to put in the link to the newest sheet! BIG YIKES.... anywhooo, here it is now! docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/17qgJbSG19jFFO5-dJtc54degZMfjG1ig/edit?usp=sharing&ouid=102183897951142474988&rtpof=true&sd=true
The problem is that to create any viable deck as a new player I need to have lot of cards from older expansions as well. So wildcards are necessary. I can’t get them through Quick Draft Event. So I would recommend to take several QDs at the beginning but then switch to buying packs. At least I went that path as soon as I new which colors I like and which I don’t. In Drafts sometimes I could get single rare from preferred colors and archetypes.
If you don't understand why it's because the cards you got 4x of drafting will convert into wildcards. If you open packs while still doing drafts you lose that conversion.
Folks shouldn't obsess too much about 500 vs 750 gold quests. Sometimes it's impossible to complete one quest without completing another as well due to color overlap etc. Instead, just concentrate on using your quest reroll on a 500 gold quest each day. If you do that, you're doing about the best you can do vs the RNG of the quest generator. The only time you miss out is if you clear all of your quests one day, and then the next day, your new quest is a 750 gold one. You wouldn't reroll that quest, so you miss the opportunity for that day, but that doesn't happen very often.
Id say you should at least try to leave one 500 coin uncompleted so you get a chance of a reroll to 750 coin. I also build decks around the 750 coin challenges. Kill 40 creatures? A whole deck around single target removal and board wipes. Play 40 lands? A bunch of pleay extra land cards and draw spells. Attack with 40 creatures? Mono red hasty goblin tokens. I dont play these decks to win just to complete the goals. But the extra chance of 250 gold helps alot yo farm gold so i reccomend 1 500 gold challege left in your slot
So this is the stremers strategy to draw newbies to draft... Do draft if you like limited not for farming. In a long run you will have even less if you compare it to constructed
I know the video is old but how in the world can save 80k gold and do quick draft at the same time without spending gems yeah right good luck with that
Farming gold is no longer possible. It’s simple. It used to be good, cheap and break even at 4 wins. Now, even 4wins doesn’t break even your gold. And the competition is tougher. WOtC killed the f2p on purpose
False, i play my 4 wins everyday, sometimes a draft and that's it, actually i have x3 t2 competitive decks and 1 singleton and brawl decks(i spend 0 wildcards on these) and one explorer deck in project, all that in lil more than a month. btw, i just bought the 5$ promo for newcomers
im free to play and no matter what deck i play i go from 60 - 80% win rate to 30-40 % when its time to win. if i bring fast i get board wipped to nothing if i run control i get beat down fast. never been lucky enough with any deck to win coins or gems. Now with buying packs i rather get the free gold pack than draft, tired of losing with no matter what deck due to match ups
UPDATE: This video will be partially incomplete with brother's war releasing a new golden pack which will give you 6 rares 1 of those being mythic, you receive this pack by buying 10 brothers war packs
There is one problem besides that I’m comment on a old video and is how in the world you pretend to farm 80 k gold on a f2p account and do draft the same time can some one explain with real detail that
easy., just play, redeem codes, do draft sometimes, for start make one good deck that you can play long, win some packs for seasons, also copy this list you dont need to craft it, name deck thewayisopen 1 Extract a Confession (MKM) 84 1 Homicide Investigator (MKM) 86 1 Leering Onlooker (MKM) 91 1 Glint Weaver (MKM) 162 1 Granite Witness (MKM) 206 1 Meddling Youths (MKM) 219 1 Furtive Courier (MKM) 59 1 Case of the Stashed Skeleton (MKM) 80 1 Out Cold (MKM) 66 1 The Pride of Hull Clade (MKM) 172 1 Reckless Detective (MKM) 141 1 Novice Inspector (MKM) 29 check mail box
You've been doing these every year. Good refresher I actually downloaded your eco vid from a year or so ago earlier. Would be interesting if some one, cough, made a video comparing the past eco and today's mtga eco to see how things have changed
I've been playing Arena for around 4 years, so now I'm on my 4 wins a day every other day with Mastery Pass method. I also make sure to buy the 50 Packs Bundle during each set release. I use to do 15 Wins a day for the first cycle and WOW what burnout, I legit wasn't having fun. It felt like a tedious job I'm not even exaggerating. Another thing I do is I craft all the Uncommon and Commons (or the majority depending on how many I have) of the new set which will increase your wildcard odds. This channel needs more Subs, with all the valuable information provided it's a NO brainer in my opinion.
@@olboe2008 I do it because it's a major boost into the next set and each bundle offers at least 14% more bonus value, compared to if you were to purchase Gems and then buy the bundle contents separately
"What are they going to do to make it better?" Not a damn thing. I've had on ongoing ticket for over a year now. Holding my funds until they fix it. Their loss.
Could anyone let me know how I can see all the play modes? There used to be a tab up in the right hand side that you could turn on and off but it's no longer there.
Hi, I have recently come across your channel, I am really enjoying your content. I have been playing magic for around a year or so, playing on Arena everyday without fail. The highest rank I have managed is diamond, I dream of becoming mythi! I have mainly been playing historic, with a green/blue deck, packed with powerful creatures and a touch of blue. Would you recommend historic or standard as the best to get to mythic?
I would say less don't buy cosmetics, but rather, don't drop everything on them. I'll be getting the vorthos skin and spike sleeves because those are all I ever intend to buy. If you really want to go the distance, dont spend any wildcards until every set in this standard rotates and the next one settles. This should give you enough wildcards to keep up with the meta. Then Immediately start getting battlepasses. They give you so much value that between passes and drafting your vault should fill up like a wildfire, and you'll be rolling in wildcards. Bonus points for drafting every set, and only playing ranked in Bo3 during the two year rotation without using wildcards, because you'll learn every nook and cranny of this game competitively. Obviously this advice is my opinion, so take it with a grain of salt.
To go even further, save all of your gold until you start buying battlepasses. Stop drafting once you have all of the competitive commons and uncommons in each set, and start saving for the next set from that point. Let the battlepass and wildcards fill out the rest of what you need, and only what you need.
I am missing something I guess. Is daily quests the way to get gold now? What is it, 5000 a week or so? So you get to play one limit game a week basically? And people are completing sets like this? What am I missing?
U r kinda lost, is about 1-1.3k per day with x4 wins everyday, so do the math, plus drafting and events(midweek events for example) to increase ur pool.
@@thecaringsnail1515 yea it is very misleading cause any one that plays magic knows that it just isnt possoble with how little they allow you every day
Quick question because still after having watched your farm videos Idk what to do : how do you save 80k gold to quick draft now that the events don't reward in gold ? Even if you do it for 1 set then you'll only have a lot of gems and fewer gold ? So what should i do in that scenario ? Switch to traditional draft ? So how do I farm 80k gold quickly enough that I don't miss to many sets (+ I love draft so it's dificult for me to refrain from spending into draft events) Thanks for your time and videos dude !
Hello, the point is that quick draft is just a ton of value. Of course if you have gems to continue drafting (which is cheaper than paying in gold), you can pay in gems. To farm gold you mainly just do daily quests.
I disagree it’s better to go 0/3 on drafts then opening up packs if you cross the 90% threshold on the set. If you have more then 90% of the cards in the set it’s so hard to get rares you don’t already own in a draft you are better off just opening up packs to finish off the set.
you can spend thgem on mastery pass will give alot of gold, but even then i dont use it still have alot of gold and good deck for free, if you didnt use all promocodes, you can find them untill the expire, also if you dint do it here you go copy this list you dont need to craft it, name deck thewayisopen 1 Extract a Confession (MKM) 84 1 Homicide Investigator (MKM) 86 1 Leering Onlooker (MKM) 91 1 Glint Weaver (MKM) 162 1 Granite Witness (MKM) 206 1 Meddling Youths (MKM) 219 1 Furtive Courier (MKM) 59 1 Case of the Stashed Skeleton (MKM) 80 1 Out Cold (MKM) 66 1 The Pride of Hull Clade (MKM) 172 1 Reckless Detective (MKM) 141 1 Novice Inspector (MKM) 29 check mailbox
@@A_T_Sizor I think this was a typo. The MP is 3400 GEMS. If you complete the MP, then you get 1200 gems back in rewards, so the net gem cost is 2200 GEMS.
Really hard to say what and what a person will draft, the cost per rare is better in the quick draft though as far as the math goes. In early ranks everyone will be rare drafting in premium drafts. As rank increases people will be building more tuned decks ignoring some scuffed rares.
The value of different draft types mainly depend on how consistantly you are winning. Premier draft is incredibly punishing going bellow 3 wins. Rare drafting will make your deck worse and send wrong signals punishing you even more and decreasing your win rate. Quick draft is cheaper and even if you dont win at all as long as you take all the rares you go even, anything you win after that is a good bonus. Also there are just straight up worse players in quick draft which allows you to win more.
@@HelloGoodGame maybe im missing something, but 5k gold gets you 5 packs, 5k gold in a 0-3 quick draft allows you to open 4 packs. so youd need to draft at least 1 rare that you didnt open to break even in terms of rares and mythics, right? and even then it would be less total cards. its been like 7 sets since ive quick drafted so they may have changed things.
I've done the math in one of the videos if yall want. I don't think anything has changed since. It's been a minute since I went through it all. I do remember it worked out to be better to 0-3 though if you hadn't collected any of the set yet due to the increased commons and uncommons you receive.
First of all, Hello and thx a lot for ur videos mate. Now to the subject, i'm pretty sure u covered the whole matter, however, now with Brother's war expansion, we have gold packs...so i'm wondering ...drafting vs gold packs for pool/wild cards? i wanna hear ur opinion about it. Cheers
For someone just getting back into MTGA after a break this is a huge help! What is your opinion on the Jump In event? Should we be farming rares through that event or save our gold so we can get to the 80k to farm quick draft?
How much would io expect to spend if I plan to get to 80+ in mastery+, 4 wins a day, but no drafting. I do plan to draft, but I am curious as to the financial floor for those who can at least get their 4 wins
@@HelloGoodGame awesome. I was comfortable spending between 50-100 per set plus mastery. If I can do that for a year, I'll be in a great place with regard to having my pick of decks
I've been playing every day since the end of January. I've so far spent $260. More or less first half of that time was suboptimal because I didn't know better and cracked packs. But the other half is as optimal as one can get (I spend gems only on Mastery Passes and Sealed and gold only on drafts). As of today my rare completion is: 31.83% for the former Standard and 34.14% for the current (yes, I've been tracking the progress in a spreadsheet :) ). I sit on 261 unopened packs (estimated completion after cracking those: 52.93%). MTGA is a game for hardcores. If you want to play casually you won't get far. But even hardcores as you can see can't get that far either. To be rare complete you need to either spend >$1000 or play everyday for a LONG time. And, I hope you like Limited, because if not, it will very much feel like a second job.
I think the best thing they could do to improve mtg:a and magic in general would be, give us some card and abilities that are a direct answer to mill. IMO it is the only thing without a counter of some kind. (Not including infinite or jankie combos obviously, most times those can be shut down if you know it)
You can put Gaea's Blessing on your green decks, and on blue ou may use cards like the Midnight Clock and Commit // Memory. Other collors I dont remember now, but there surely are tools to wreck a mill player
I'm saying direct answers. Not bigger deck, which may or may not work if all your win cons end up in the bin. And not single card work around in two colors. I saying abilities or enchantments that PUNISH them for milling you.
@@brackpin I know mill will always be hard to fight. but there are ways to get benefits from it. reanimator strategies are good for that, afaik all the colors have stuff that gets things out of the graveyard into hand/field. mill usually doesnt do well against aggro
@@rixaxeno7167 my point is I shouldn't have to be forced into a play style just to counter the most annoying deck type. I'd rather face a counter spell everything deck than mill.
Another great video with tons of valuable information I really appreciate your time and love for the game you help so many people with your knowledge your my favorite magictuber keep it up 🙏💪👍👍👌👌👍👍
