I love California and really love seeing what I love but can't afford to live in. My daughter and I were in Venice but down between Santa Monica was and the Venice pier. You guys lucked out, my brother lives in Venice and he said they were very lucky. If the storm had just tracked 50-75 miles more westward, then Venice would have been in a lot more trouble.
