Around this time I could only shake it when water was applied on my hair but when it was naturally dry I couldn’t move my hair at 1 month I think the earliest it shook naturally was 5-6 months in but it shakes easily now like just turning my head around and you’ll notice movement and shake
From my own experience and if you want an aesthetic somewhat similar to mine I suggest getting a retwist at least every two months , but yes you can start your dreads from the two strand twist method
The two strand twist was probably like two inches tbh I wouldn’t recommend it to start that short but I started shorter than usual I grew my natural hair from scratch for like 7 months before so my Afro was way longer but I went through shrinkage at first , I mainly did it this way to prove it doesn’t matter how short you start your locs you can still grow good dreads
@@nebyousolomon883 yeah I could’ve waited for a year plus to do it lowkey but I wanted to see the progress from short hair to long hair , that’s the earliest my two strand looked decent to rock in public
Ngl it was tough the first two months but I would massage or rub with my finger tips but it’s normal the feeling kinda goes away after month 3 my scalp is barely as itchy compared to month 1 and 2
