It's actually not that rare. I encountered already a few. And on hard mode, you have more swarmlings overall

450 hours in and stumbled across it only last week! Fantastic POI.

I found this one today too for the first time. 400+ hours played.

I’ve done four of these rigs and on frozen moons as you said. . Used phase time a lot to take out three or four Swarmlings and or sisters at a time using a maxed out Orion. Involved a bit of jumping around to give myself some space. No pun intended!!😃 I would have put a load of frag mines in front of that door if you had any.

I've run into quite a few of these. On one planet, I found two in the same landing zone less than a kilometer apart!

Have found that one.....has anyone else found the Party Ship??? Just found that yesterday....crazy!

I've come across 3 of them so far. A real joy! It's even tied to a quest in Cydonai, if so it should be a repeatable area you can return to. I haven't tried that but I will after this video presented it. It might be interesting to see if the location is solid.

I’ve found it once. At least I think I have. The swarm is familiar along with all the dead people and the dual structures. Oh, and the food thief message😁

I have come across this twice., usually on cold icy moons.

I’ve ran into these a few times. It’s a fun place to practice boostpacking(depending on gravity)and shooting your targets. Fun looting place.

I found one while collecting powers in NG+. I saw it in the distance once I landed and was going to check it out after the temple. After the temple fog rolled in and I could no longer see it so it took forever to find it as it was far enough away it didn't show up on the compass.

Funny how Starfield loaded this place up with enemies but they won't add more enemy npc's to every other facility on moons and planets. Most places you get maybe a dozen pirates, spacers, ecliptic or va'run, doesn't matter how big the place is, making xp grinding just a chore. I play on Xbox and am lvl 174 now not using exploits like animal farms and have been in every type of facility in game and my interest in the game is plummeting because of Bethesda's absolute refusal to add more enemy bodies to hunt. That mining platform would be a helluva LOT BETTER and actually FUN if they put 100 pirates, spacers, ecliptic or va'run on it.

Watched this video for the first time last night. Today I jump into Starfield, jump to Cruth for the very first time and the first spot I landed this base was like a 100m from where I landed. I immediately recognized it from your video

Yeah, i have one of these near an outpost. So i can pop over to check on the beasties occasionally. Once a Claymore III landed there, so i was able to steal the ship, kill its crew and then i had a quick get away after clearing the POI.

lol. Just got it my first time last night.

Funny. I just did this one today and then stumbled on this video. Ironically, I was on a low gravity moon and had boosted far above the platform. I'm also a stealth build with stealth composites on my space suit and equipped with a craft Hard Target. Just plinked them all from above. Great exp farm for sure.

I’ll call them Lobstrosities after the creatures in Stephen King’s The Drawing of the Three/Dark Tower series.

I've found it a few times. Explored it once then said screw the others

i've found it twice. First time it took me about 45 minutes total since I was exploring the entire thing. Second time time took me about 30. Just take plenty of ammo and a good automatic weapon

I came across one of these today. It was super glitched. No bodies. No loot. And lots of items hanging in the air. Hopefully, the next one will be normal.

I’m sad I’ve lost interested already of Starfield. Lasted like a couple months.

Found early in my first game and found on every + games! It's apart of the ship you find in a different orbit that all crew are dead and the alpha is on that ship.

You should play this without the boost hack, much tougher. Seen this around 5 times and the first I was very low level so it was well hard, enjoy.

Nice mission indeed. a Real pain on lower weapon skills and/or not having the right weapon at all

I've run into this place three or four times and I get swarmed every time. I just avoid it now.

Your basic scanner can tell you what it is, you don't need upgrades. At least clicking on the symbol it has will turn to the one that says structure. You have to be closer to get it to tell you exactly what it is.

found it on a planet and my ship landet direct on the landingplatform there. (i think i saw it directly in the planetview and clicked land, to be honest)

Seen it 2-3 times...the aliens suck and are a waste of ammo just for 1 legendary...not worth it. But it was cool the first time.

I've made about 16 trips through the Unity, and I think I only ran across this place naturally, once.

There is a hidden weapon box if your run around from where you are now at the end to the top to the other building. Sometimes it spawns a legendary item.

It's not that rare anymore, it took me a long time before I found one, but now they pop up now and then. I think they added more of these and everything else. I actually found a new one last night it was a small mining rig with dead miners and one of the miners has a slate that's voice acted and it's a good bye to his wife and kid, a real tear jerker, and your quested to bring the slate to his wife.

Is this the POI with the swarmlings? Not rare. Very common on frozen planets. I encountered this on my first playthrough before I even found a temple. I've come across it several times since then.

Recently had one spawn near where I landed. Oh, boy; that's all I'll say!

The location is semi rare. I do get them popping up every now and then in the level 75 systems. Takes me about 10 minutes or less to clear it out. Some good exp to get. Depending on what level system and level of the player will dictate how long it can take to clear it out. So far the rarest unique location I have encountered is the Deserted Freestar Compound. I have only stumbled upon it once in a level 75 system. It's pretty cool and even has a switch you can activate which turns on a funky music tune you can hear all over the place

i've run into the research tower a few times, but they spawn randomly. In my game there's nothing on that moon.

Oh wow a legendary item! I cant wait! Im gonna go there right away, play through that hour long dungeon and get me that legendary item that I will immedately sell because its not worth a damn thing.

I was lucky to find one. I can see it from my Outpost the is located close to it.

Oh yeah, ran into this the other day. Only once so far though.

Yeah, I've hit this structure at least 4 times. The first time was a bit unnerving, how fast they came at me. Now, I know exactly how to take them down. Boost Pack, Boost Pack, Boost pack. Keep high up, bounce from one side to another/high point to another. Take out the 'queens asap,' the swarmlings die quick esp to the revenant, or a magshear. Ext mag is almost required, as when they come at you, it's a hoard of them at once. Reload in the air, land on another high spot and mow down some more. I remember being on the upper outside, of the platform & like 30 or more ran between the platforms in that upper hallway, then poured out an open door(first time). I got over whelmed right then, on my first time dealing with them, the queens came out, got hit by one & got Eliminated. The other times, since then, I have found them while setting up outposts on Airless Moons. They have only for me shown up on planets, WITHOUT an Atmosphere.
