Man, to hell with Miles Bridges last 2 yrs. The man has balled out and played his ass off for us since we traded for him on draft day. Don't let that just go over your heads now, yes, I said draft day. As a long time Hornets fan we haven't had a lot of them that has paned out for us let alone developed and improved each year. And now, just because he made a domestic mistake now he's a pariah and a black mark to our team, people get real. Do you know how hard it is to scout, draft and develop players like him and Lemello Ball, here's a hint, a very long time in between time and you guys just want to give up on him/ them like it's a piece of cake. Listen, up until those last 2yrs he was the only positive we had down low and above the rim offensively & defensively. He was always available ie no prolonged or career hampering injuries. He's young and has become a leader on this team. And the players missed him in that regard on and off the court and they welcomed him back with open arms. If the team can do that and show the man love and appreciation then why can't everyone else, including the new management group and owner. Pay him and keep him because everyone that want him gone for what he did are the ones that are going to be blowing up social media and written articles about why we're not having success replacing them.

If that's what the Celtics thought might make sense, they would not have extended his contract, he would have been on an expiring contract for the 2024-5 season. Now he is signed for the next 4 years, through his age-37 season. The only team that will pay him this much ($35/yr) to that age for this production is the Celtics.

Trading Jrue right after he helped the Cs winning banner 18 is not likely to happen. If there's a player that could be traded it's Payton Pritchard. He has the most value among the bench players. The Cs will most definitely keep their core but if they want to improve their bench, they could let Svi Mykhailiuk and Oshae Brissett walk or trade them. Replacing them with the likes of Yuta Watanabe who has the same skill set as Mykhailiuk but bigger and Kai Sotto who has the same skill set and height as Porzingis could only make the Cs bench better down the line.
