I see new selectors not getting it because the damn inventory workers supposedly has to shift all the cases around in the warehouse and it screws with our heads every damn time. Secondly, if i haven't come across your video about the 5 block deal I would probably not get a damn thing you were talking about. I work for sysco and they go by zones on triple Jacks but I asked this one selector how he gets his pallets nice and clean every time and he told me he just follows the pattern of the cases that come in and I didn't get what he was talking about untill you showed the 5 block deal so now I'm going to try that. But I can bet that the main reason new selectors don't get it is because of this bs of having to move all the products around in the warehouse and that can really screw with your head and it's fucked up because the managers don't give a damn and they only care about money so they could care less how many people get fired over some stupid ass bs when it matters.
@@TheWarehouseSeries Today was just a rough one...supers not answering the phones when I accidentally called a short slot, printers not giving me me labels, motormen constantly in my way...but yeah, tomorrow will be better.
Training day is over I did 3 batches (small ones) I suck so bad I was at 32% I went up 2% the next day that's with the touch it once and leave it method
@@TheWarehouseSeries no sir, after selector basics they kind of threw us to the wolves 😁. What kind of slowed me down is the aisle congestion. Some selectors were right in the middle so I couldn't pass through. To where I got to go, so I just fix what I need to fix on the pallet while I wait to my next pick location
So Tim, when you say cases facing towards the middle...at some point you have to tie them or locked them in so you cant keep stacking them same pattern right?
There is a lot of random cases shapes and sizes where I work, I only been there for almost 3 months and I'm pulling 114% already but everyday is a different story different orders and I feel my pallets not looking the same some times.
@@TheWarehouseSeries the dog food could be higher up, but if its in cue and you have to stack it now. Do you have to make your own cue to do heavy stable and then do lighter on top or zigzag through to make perfect stacks?
