Great compliment but avoid idolizing others. More so be inspired and be unique to yourself. Too many people in this world try to be like someone instead of finding their own true self and being inspired and motivated. Don’t live for idols.
I’ve always had this mindset but the people around me always told me that I need to “calm it down”, now I realize it’s because they weren’t on the same urgency level as I was.
The urgency happens when you've experienced pain of life. You can't comprehend the state he describes, unless you've been through it. The feeling of urgency, alertness. The feeling of loosing so much time, so many years. The feeling of yourself doing not enough even though you're doing more than ever. It is especially tough when for so many years, you felt that you are meant for something big, but you didn't do a thing. You procrastinated, thinking that life is long, "I will do it tomorrow, next week, after weekend, next year." When you have that sparkle inside you, certainty, that you are capable of doing something great, but you don't take action towards that vision, you will get burned down mentally. It is when stress and anxiety creep up. It makes you to change. It either puts you down, or makes you tougher, thick-skinned bastard, and then the urgency part Patrtick is talking about, kicks on. From Armenia - Stay Strong
Patrick is talking about channeling it and bringing it forth at will - you've got the mindset right. Not an easy mindset to get into - you must have a no excuses attitude toward your goal all of the time. In my years of experience, I can say only about 2 to 5% of people have "the hunger".
I agree, you must be able to measure your results so you can continue to progress. Without that "sense of urgency" it's easy to see who has plateaued and is living in their comfort zone vs. someone who is continuing to push forward and accomplish newer and bigger tasks whenever you check in on them.
I know its about entrepreneurship, but I would add to be urgent for God. Kobe is a good example. You never know when your life is suddenly over. Great content.
@@martifrey3357 Actually Yes! When so many were losing their jobs and my income dried up, He gave me an unexpected opportunity to earn a very good living doing something I love and helping people at the same time.
@@user-br4tb7en1l bro I own and run 3 companies. One real estate company and other real estate construction company and an advertising company. I am from India BTW.
This is the best message I have heard in a long time...I got goosebumps! Because we all should hungry - I KNOW I AM!!! Thanks for that inspiration. I will be sharing.
This guy is the straight truth. Best game that can be given for what it takes. No matter what Pat Bet David tells the truth. Fuck all the other bullshit. Good dude.
Being hungry is important!!!, but STAYING hungry is even more important!!! Why? Because Success BREADS Failure.....Once you think you've made the goals you've set for yourself in life. You can never guit being hungry or a hungrier guy can take them away. Thanks for the many hours of learning, encouragement and enjoyment during these challenging times. But aren't they always. God bless.
That's correct! Prioritize your passion and you will begin to develop a sense of urgency for your true vocation in life. Anything else you are pursuing is a waste of your talent, and the time you can never recoup. This is the meaning of life. You owe it to yourself to discover why you are here, and until you do, that is your goal!
Mersi Pat! I have so much hunger for my business but I let external factors slow me down for a few months. You have single handedly helped pull me out of that toxicity and have helped guide me back to my former hunger path. Your videos are part of my 5am routine to get me going while enriching myself. Thank you for your dedication to this category of entrepreneurs and helping promote the integral importance of capitalism. Enjoy your day. To celebrate your Dad, I hope there's an opportunity for us to go to Karaj and enjoy a ghormeh sabzi one day. Kaaveh
Boy, did I ever read this title wrong. With so many out of work, I took 'hungry' as meaning without food. My father 'escaped' from Mexico, fleeing for his life at 14 years old. Patrick's definition of hungry is more of an eliti$t view of 'hunger'. What a life, eh?
Thank you for this. I've been pushing things off to tomorrow out of nervousness and I've made very little progress towards getting my business launched.
I was feeling super bogged down but after reviewing my focus this week in light of listening to this video I have determined that yes I am tackling the biggest things with a consistent urgency.
Was about sleep leaving my homework for morning i needed this thanks man fuck boring shit we have to love the process then only we cn love the destination when we reach As kobe said job is not done 🙏 kobe
We started our company #safesidetreatments in 2017, we stayed hungry and still hungry even after reaching our goals, thanks for the awesome videos @valutainment #valuetainments #stayhungry
There's truth here for sure. However there is also a SERIOUS element of patience required. I've been developing a tech product for the past two years and have hit so many walls. Also while working with developers its a waiting game. They have schedules and things simply take time. I've found that I'm super urgent but I also can't force things to move quicker than they are supposed to. I almost lost my top developer due to lack of patience. Which then would have set back the entire project yet again.
I think it boils down to purpose and passion. If you have a purpose and are passionate about it, you'll be hungry to go after it even when things get tough.
I totally agree with this video about a sense of urgency- you cannot be hungry without being urgent! Thanks for this excellent video! You make lots of good points here!
If you are urgent all the time you are disorganized. Not everything is urgent and important. Same as qualifying your leads. Not every sale should be pursued. Spend time developing a process, rather than trying to look busy.
Thank you for giving a definition to my lifestyle. Never new this sense of urgency defined as Hungry. I always thought I was hungry, but never knew it was because of doing things asap and not procrastinating. I thought I was hungry because I always want to improve myself and keep learning. It's very tough most of the times, but I always try to get things done ASAP, cause tomorrow is another day, and more things to learn, you need to have that schedule as available as possible. Good video by the way
My first business as an entrepreneur was wholsaling cars for a small profit My level of urgency was through the roof I can remember purchasing a couple vehicles around 2-3am because I was that damn hungry 99.2% of you couldn't imagine making a cash deal with someone at 3 in the morning You'd be scared shitless pulling up with 2-5k cash on you Its okay you just need to realize your not as hungry as you think CREATE MORE URGENCY
Sometimes being urgent leads to impulsivity. Timing is all about life and luck !! Sometimes you want to go against your ego to do it now ..and to gather more data until green light appear (or Mercury not retrograde 😜)
i like what you have to say but i find it funny that the sense of urgency "to have a meeting right now, but im going to make you wait while i make this video about urgency"
@PatrickBet-David bro you need to interview Rap artists Tom MacDonald and Nova Rockafeller (Nova Paholek). Tom has a track called Best Rapper Ever that parallels with life of an entrepreneur in 90 seconds. Tom has a work ethic of 20 hour days. A great opportunity for an interview. To hear all the triumph he went through, and had to change up his entire lifestyle from drugs, to sober it's an amazing story. They 2 of them are 97% in house, as independent artists.
True, lot of people don’t win because they’re not urgent enough. I mean if we do things right away which we know are important ones we would’ve been way ahead. 🔆
Man you are AWESOME! I believe in you. I was furloughed in april 2020 and then my position was eliminated. I feel I'm in neutral...I have MUCH MUCH respect....would you give me one piece of advice to get myself moving again? I promise YOU I will do it.
and yes, I just listened and heard what you said...I just feel alone at this point. Yet you seem magnificent in your abilities. Thank you for all you do!!!!
Get yourself a desktop calender and put it on your bedside table. Cross out the days and use a key to keep track of your productivity. It’s scary seeing how fast you’ll be crossing out the days. Really screams out “Urgent”
The rich stay rich by spending like the poor and investing without stopping then the poor stay poor by spending like the rich yet not investing like the rich
My first investment with Mr Liam gave me profit of over $24,000 US dollars and ever since then he has never failed to deliver and I can even say he's the most sincere broker I have known.
