Truthfully, I believe that Jean doesn’t think that Noelle is weak or can’t handle fighting. I think that jean’s worried that she’ll end up killing herself to save someone else because she’s just that selfless. One of the NPC stories that struck me hard was Teppei’s. Mans died as soon as he finally fought in the frontlines and eventually became captain. He was so excited and giddy that he prepared uniforms for him and traveler which happens to be the last wish he asks of us too: to wear it together

Wish you elaborated more on Fischl and how her transformation changed her life tragically. As a child she spent most of her days in the library because she had no friends, her previous name was Amy and even then she was lonely. Upon reading a book (Flowers for Princess Fischl) she decided to name herself Fischl the Prinzessin der verurteilung which included changing her persona, vocabulary, thoughts etc. All this mainly due to the resonance she had with the character. Her parents supported her in this name change and actually thought it was a good idea to express herself as Fischl. In order to cope with the loneliness she decided to "act" as the princess in the book she read which also had a raven called Oz in it. This brings the mystery of her character out because we understand her origins but we don't know how Oz came into the world (he was only a book character... and he can't be a part of Fischl's imagination because he interacts with other members in Mondstadt) so I'm highly invested to know the meanings behind it. Moving on, it was her 14th birthday that her parents (who were most of the time never around, due to adventurer's guild work) got tired of Amy living a "lie", told her to grow up and forget her childish dreams. This left Fischl devastated; her Father once used to encourage her yet crushed her dreams as soon as he saw she was "old enough". There's a lot more to her story which I wish Hoyoverse opened up more about, but as of now that's all I know. Wish Fischl could have more screen time in the game, as a main, I don't think she's shown enough. For her to only be seen in 1.1 of the Unreconciled Stars event is APPALLING. For players like me who didn't even know what GI was back then... it kinda hurts ;(

5:38 for that Lisa fact, she was most likely cursed in sumeru, in her character story it says that she was studying advanced studies at sumeru's akademiya, when she suddenly decided to drop out for no reason. This was likely because she got cursed exactly at that time.

I honestly think the reason of Childe’s lifeless face is because he hasn’t seen his family in years and he works as a harbinger just to help his family that are so far away from him. Even when he dies in the game, one of his lines are “I wish I could go home…”

Heres some for Chongyun and Xingqiu Due to his Pure Yang spirit , he is extremely vulnerable to Impulses , due to this , he must always focus on his emotions , and training . In his hangout quest , its mentioned he doesn’t know/ is unfamiliar with both the concept of entertainment ...... and the Idea of Fun itself Due to this in said event , he fears interacting with kids who wish to play with him and the traveler , fearing they will find him , as said “ Quite Boring” In the other half of the Quest , He doesn’t understand the “Trial of Courage” is just an entertainment thing , this is where he mentions not understanding entertainment. Its also mentioned that Xingqiu is one of the only people who hangout with him 1 on 1 . He most likely wouldn’ hang out or befriended Xiangling or Xinyan if not for Xingqiu Xingqiu is his first , and closest friend , on Xingqius side Chongyun is someone he likes to hang around , and the only person who knows the true him , Xingqiu is constantly under immense pressure to be perfect , like Ayaka , since he is the Heir of the Feiyun Commerce guild , and the second son He revived an entire clan on his own , and is a renowned author hiding under a pen name . Its also mentioned in his story quest that he practically has to buy his own freedom from Guild work , and that his elder brother doesn’t do almost anything , Keep in mind Xingqiu is 16 years old He accomplished all of this and more at 16 years old Hope

for beidou she was driven away from a village after a year of being taken in. Because of all the misfortune that occured while she was there, they assumed that beidou was the cause of it all. Beidou's name is a constellation and one of its stars was an omen of death, thats why she was driven away.

Amber's grandfather was a disgraced mercenary from Liyue who came to Mondstadt to start a new life. He ended up starting the Outriders and trained many of the knight, particularly Eula who was also an outcast. Then one day he disappeared. There are in game hints he went back to Liyue, but no reason given. I'm not sure about Amber's parents but she may be alone now.

For Xiao, not very many people know but he technically saw every last one of his friends corrupt and die, and he was helpless to do anything about it. Of course, this is common knowledge, so here is something else. Because of this fact, this is the reason he is distant with the Traveler and everyone around himself. He is too afraid to get close to anyone else, for, he lost his only family he knew and his best friends. Though, this is also common knowledge, so hErE Is AnOtHeR. Xiao is the only one of the Yaksha to survive, and still has great Karmic debt due to this, he feels every sin he’s done and every bad thing he’s done. Because of this, he has had a very close call before. One time, he had been fighting during the Archon War in Guyun Stone Forest and felt empty, and was basically about to be consumed, when the wind started to blow and he heard a flute being played off in the distance. He didn’t know who was playing it, but this had kept him from succumbing to his karmic debt. Most theorize it is Venti playing this. As, it is only when the wind started to blow and when he was closest to giving up, that he heard that flute. He still goes to Guyun Stone Forest from time to time to listen to the flute when he is low. Pretty Fascinating fact I heard.

We just gonna ignore the fact that Diona’s fact isn’t sad at all? The saddest fact about her is that her father doesn’t spend enough time with her, so she tries to destroy Monstadt’s alcohol industry so he'll spend more time in her company than at the bar.

Sadly, some of these facts are now outdated, for example: -Barbara is now not the only character to have her v.a. changed due to the recent Tignari changes -Baizhu release is selling worse than Keqing rn, at least as far as I know. My suggestions to replace those 2: -Barbara: She gets depressed when thinking about how long the smiles created by her songs really last. *Or* you could mention how she when she was younger tried to surpass Jean on any level but always failed and that her family always puts Jean above her. -Keqing: She didn't want her vision and saw it as a curse initially and tried to destroy it. She only decided to keep it to make sure it wouldn't fall into the wrong hands.

To me honestly the archons have the most tragic backstories. They all had the ones closest to them die in their arms during the archon war and the trauma shows in their present character. Venti is an absent drunk to numb the memory of losing his best friend, zhongli has outlived almost everyone he’s loved and lost his wife in a field of her favorite flowers which are now so scarce, and Raiden Ei had to find her sister dying by surprise because her sister secretly went to fight with no practical knowledge of defending herself to protect her sister and the nation she ruled over, so now she pursues an unchanging eternity as to not lose anyone else. Kinda curious what kusenali, the archon in upcoming sumeru, will have as a backstory as she’s portrayed as a child.

Old Barbara actually used to be Xinyan’s VA if I remember correctly :) Kinda cool that she was able to voice both while they’re practically opposites and Barbara’s voice is softer

I love Bennet because even though he has absolutely no reason to be happy, he’s one of the most optimistic characters in the entire game.

Collei is affected by eleazar since birth and got treated as a test subject by the fatui at a very young age. She escaped with companions that all died during their journey through the forest except Collei. She later visited multiple cities looking for revenge but got abused and treated as a plague no matter where she went due to her sickly behavior. Until one day she reached Mondstadt, where she met Amber! And then they became good friends despite the fact that Collei killed two fatui diplomats when trying to get in the city using the power she got from the experiments conducted on her. And after all the trouble Cyno sealed her powers and brought her back to Sumeru to let her study in the medicine field of Sumeru with Tighnari. Some in game observations speculate that Collei is only about 16 years old.

5:50 Maybe Lisa came back to Mondsdadt from Sumeru because there was no point in continuing her studies, to have ambition and a future, she would never have the time... So she came back to Mondsdadt to live her last days in a small town, where she would be happy for the rest of her life...

Idk why I find Xingqius sad, if you didn’t know, he is very different from the rest of his family, and is often looked down at, the fact that carrots are in his dish may mean that the dish was cooked by someone else and he was forced to make it his specialty.

If qiqi falls from anywhere while plunging or jumping, she’ll say “I’m not scared” because she fell off a mountain when she died and she wants to make sure she doesn’t make that same mistake again

One of the reasons I love this game, the little details like this ,make me enjoy the game even more and want to play it for years on ahead.

Yaoyao’s backstory is linked to Qiqi’s. She has to keep on reminding Qiqi who she was because of Qiqi’s amnesia and that she was her ‘best friend’

Razor has a really sad story: He got no parents, he always feels uncomfortable about being a human among wolves, a wolf lifespan is a way shorter than a human's, so Razor is forced to watch his family dying all the way. And finally: He got his vision in order to avenge his wolven friends who died fighting an abyss mage who tried to take him away.

The Lisa one was a deep one, so was the Mona and Ningguan. Lisa reminds me of Beizou, if only there was some cure to help them. It’s also pretty sad that Venti can be so happy and cheerful but is very poor just like Mona💔

I think the sadder part about Fischl is why she's the way she is. Her real name is Amy. Her parents were both adventurers so she was left by herself often, she created the Fischl persona based off of her favourite book to cope with the loneliness. But this made her even more of an outcast. And once she got to age 14 even her parents stopped finding it cute and told her she needed to grow up. She unknowingly created Oz with her vision after that so she'd always have a companion when she felt like she had no one at all.

The fact that sweet-light voice Barbara's VA is also the one who's voice acting for Xinyan
