I think it's interesting to see the contrast between David and Goliath in the battle. Goliath trusted in his height, his war experience, his armor, his weapon, and shield bearer, he was counting on these things and himself to win. But David came without armor that could be seen but in faith in God! It matches perfectly to what you were saying faith to walk things out! Such great study, thanks so much!

"But the Lord looks on the heart" means God sees our heart condition, not our works. When we receive the forgiveness Jesus offers, He takes our heart and makes it clean, washing away our sin. God looks on the redeemed and sees His Son. Our good works without Jesus are as filthy rags.
