@Gold Stacking Have you ever played broken telephone? If someone hears you have precious metals there is no guarantee that they will pay attention to the detail that you don't have it at home. All the criminal knows is you have money and where you live. Worst, if you don't have it at home but the criminal KNOWS you own it, he may be thinking you are lying and may hurt you or your family until you tell him where your treasure is. Because you don't have it at home, this won't end well.
I started with junk silver. When my stack was comfortable, I started gravitating to new silver eagles, foreign coins, and rounds that appealed to me. I keep some select ones on display. The bulk of it was lost in an "unfortunate boating accident".
I am definitely a novice stacker, I had about 10 ounces at the beginning of this year and I got that up to around 200 ounces since July. I guess it's time to move my stack out of my sock drawer lol.
john messina funny you say that about your sock draw my grandfather had his silver stack stolen except for the sock draw silver stashed in his socks hidden under dirty underwear
I personally am going to build some furniture with hidden compartments. Most safes under $500 can be busted open in 10 seconds with a hammer and pry bar. #SecurityThroughObscurity
Did you notice he didn't show his face or tell his name ? He is anonymous on all of his videos, so he didn't "tell 9000 subs about his stuck", actually he mentioned that in the end of the video. It's a weird comment.
Silver Bean Counter it is hard but the error can be mitigated I believe with good storage... I am also happy for the $14 spot price when I started 👍🏽🔥🐉
Silver Dragons you are doing so well with your video’s! Silver Stacking Mistakes is very important for the you tube community friends! Thank you for sharing, I will remember you including our Veterans! Keep Up the a Good Work!! Nice Silver too! V
Thanks to you, I started stacking this year(11/2021). Late to the party but i just got a roll of eagles at 27.5 per coin. Which isn’t great relative to your stack, but is amazing considering premiums right now.
Missed one. Culled Silver Eagles are not BU silver eagles at resale in the future. Many local coin stores or LCS do not buy culled silver eagles but that will vary from store to store.
Another Great Video dragons👏👏👏👏 !! Im one of those people that have to be reminded of important things like this every once in short while 😅😅!!! Thanks for the helpful tips bro 🤘🤘🤘🤘
Thanks for the reminder. Posted my first bullion I got awhile ago on my Instagram story but haven’t posted anything since. Even though it’s kept in a 300lbs+ safe and I live down the street from police headquarters. You never know how low someone will go even close friends and family unfortunately.
I have been stacking for my grandchildren. I buy them to enjoy while I am alive, and it doesn't matter about price because it is 100% profit for my little ones.
I think I'm that paranoid person you're talking about lol. You're right, people may not see those fingerprints when you sell in bulk, but it doesn't change the fact that fingerprint devalues the coin. I don't know about others, I certainly don't want to pay $20 for an ASE with either fingerprint, scratches or milk spot on it, but I also don't mind paying
Eagle 47 you are not the first person to say it but I know lots of others are thinking it. thanks for bringing up a good point and like I always say it’s your stack so do whatever you want with it 👍🏽🔥🐉
J.Howard J yeah you mean the 400 ounce gold bars? those are one of my favorites to stack but after I filled my safes with them I find myself wanting more... I started giving them away actually 🤷🏽♂️🔥🐉
I see you holding silver without gloves. With bullion, does this make difference or not? I would think that with bullion, even Eagles, should not make a difference. Your advice is appreciated.
Homeowner and renter insurance doesn't cover bullion. I looked into it. I heard there is an affiliate of Lloyd's of London that does cover that but I'm sure you have to have quite an impressive stack (maybe in the six-figures) before they would even bother with you. Collector coins are covered but you would have to get them appraised.
I started bout year ago had almost 30 oz and sold it off because I needed cash. Right after that price jumped and it killed me! Now I'm back to about 20 oz. I'm still learning...
Definitely a great video and good info. It is hard not to tell people cause you so excited about what you got that you just want to tell everyone lol. Great examples!!! Your awesome 😎
Not sure why a Silver Maple would have less of a premium; if anything the premium should be higher since the purity of the silver is HIGHER than the Silver eagles. Personally I do not buy either, because paying a premium defeats the purpose of stacking. When hard times hit, do you really think the premium is going to be as high as it is now (or even exist). I see people bidding up silver 1 oz coins on online auctions all the time...usually $10 or more over spot for a silver Maple.... paying $28US or more for a bullion coin that is worth $18. Silver would have to skyrocket at least 50% for those guys just to break even! Sure the coins look pretty, so maybe by one to take one dates, and stick to recognizeable junk silver instead.
#1 is why I stack coins over bars/rounds. Then I can just tell the very select few people I even talk to that I have a few coins. To them I have become a coin collector. That and the security system hidden through my house watching over the area where these coins reside.
Thx i took ur advice today was able to find scottsdale bars apriciate the advice...this was very informative was gunna waiste money on the lego. But rather buy poured Scottsdale any day or my favorite the brittania"but i do love the eagles as well but the premiums been crazy as of late
You want to buy as much at one time as you can. Most dealers charge you less the more you buy. I bought my three monster boxes all at the same time at $16. You save money buying bulk.
The number 1 mistake is not being honest with yourself about your stacking. At the end of the day, stacking is an investment. Too many people justify bad choices with their stacking, because they aren't honest. Or they critique others who make a different strategy than theirs.
Robert Casados TBH it doesn’t matter what your target is because silver is valued in ounces not dollars but that is getting thick in the weeds. Right now I would say keep it under $20 🔥🐉
they are, that's why he said bullion coin and not bullion round bullion just means that it's primarily for the metal and not the collectibility, unlike some coins that the mint makes which are explicitly for collectors
Don't fall for the "safe" will keep your metals safe. Nothing is unbeatable, all safety containers can be broken into. Need to look at them as giving you "Time" purchase the best for how long it takes for fire to arrive, and also the best amount of time to make a burglary work to get into your container. All safes are is "How much time" do I need for this or that...
Ok wait-a-minute. Explain what you mean by a maple is “bullion” and an ase is a coin? I thought a maple was a coin. It says “5 dollars” on it lol. So maybe we need a video on what’s considered “coin” and what’s considered straight bullion. Because I thought if it was government minted and had a denomination printed on it....
Maple and ASE are both bullion coins, Morgan and Peace dollar are considered collectibles and they are Numismatic Coins. Mishandling either coins will have negative impact on the value.
Maples are higher or the same premium here where I am in Canada. Also the maples are .9999 compared to the .999 Eagles, which is very, very, slightly less silver content(would only be noticeable when melting down 10,000 oz).
I no longer stack silver. I’ve decided to corner the market in lead. Yes, lead. It has good heft, density and blocks x-rays. Lead is undervalued. Buy lead now!
does the usa still make these liberty halfs? they put one dollar on it, but its 1 oz of silver which is worth like today 16-17. Dont understand why they put 1 dollar on it still.
@@SilverDragons47 Yep I understand that :P Just wondering why the U.S. Mint puts "one dollar" on the 1 oz silver coin. When its not one dollar. Like why not just put 1 oz silver and thats it. Thanks for the help :)
silver stack goof: buying "silver" coins which are only 40 percent thinking they are 90 percent. YOu gotta read description very carefully. buying silver kennedy halfs which "start at 1964" go on to have 1965 & later which are 40 percent.
Hello, i just start to stack silver for 2 months. But, in my country (indonesia), silver bullion seller is very rare (only goverment mint) dan very expensive (it almost 40 dollar premium). Can you help me to find silver bullion seller reference which can ship to indonesia? Thanks in advance
@@SilverDragons47 I think silver bullion investment still new in Indonesia, so you only can buy silver at goverment's mint store. I usually buy online in local seller but also has high premium over spot. If you ever heard dirham (silver coin in islamic currency), it is the common silver coin in indonesia. Btw thanks for the feedback
There's only one mistake that you can make if you're going to stay at silverand that is to stack anything except American silver eagles.I have foreign shop owners in my hometown that will not even buy a coin unless it is an American silver eagle they laugh at you
You could always wear a mask or helmet when u make a RU-vid video (like DVD Overlord) to hide your identity, also use some kind of green screen editing to insure maximum location secrecy.
