The importance of studying Puratan Granths and Puratan stuff in general :) "The importance of the historical content of Sri Guru Panth Prakash is known to renowned Sikh scholars such as Dr Ganda Singh Ji, Dr Fauja Singh Ji, and Sirdar Kapur Singh Ji I.C.S. If only our youth knew how important it is that the Katha (textual exegesis) of Sri Guru Panth Prakash takes place in our Gurdwaras. Those who speak of the Panth but do not even know that Sri Guru Panth Prakash exists are carrying out an injustice against themselves, the Panth, and Sri Guru Panth Prakash". * Quote by S. Narinder Singh Ji 'Soch'
Amazing podcast loved the first video 🙏🏽 would really appreciate a podcast highlighting current state and issues of our panth and a way we can take it forward e.g. through sorting our gurdwareh with regular classes etc. 🙏🏽💙
Bhai saab u can make episode on all sikh historical granths and there background .. what info. Is there in these granths , who wrote them and its own history etc
wow good video. To be able to stop to be on our mann and to not let akal and maya control us, we need to do naam simran. Everyday I'm doing naam simran and on week-end with the sangat and it's help me to connect with Waheguru. Experiment it give me the chance to taste Amrit. In beginning it's difficult but if we keep our attention to the simran and our breath we will success. Simran is so amazing, I can't describe it. Combine with paath, nitnem and kirtan, you will feel in peace and happy. Wjkk Wjkf
Sometimes I feel like I need to learn Gurmukhi before I can actually get the most out of your content. If these kinda of talks are meant for those who are already in Sikhi that’s cool, but if the goal is to reach out to non-Sikhs interested in learning about it I’d recommend keeping that in mind. Overall I still love all your content and wish this new channel all the best!!
Thank you for the comment and feedback ji! The aim is to make content for Non-Sikhs and Non-punjabi's, going forward not at all content will be so Gurmukhi Heavy. We're still learning ourselves and trying to find the balance between all types of people who view our content Thank you again for the feedback and let us know if our future content is easier to understand :) Vjkk vjkf ji!
@@BasicsofsikhiTV Love the podcast, so glad to have found it. Found Jagraj veerji's parchar during my pregnancy now your channel is something that I will share with my son. I can relate to Kevin, would it be possible to subtitle? Not the entire podcast, but just when speakers use Gurmukhi terms?
The team of Basics of Sikhi is doing an appreciable work. You explain the complex topics in a very simple manner. May Waheguru Ji always keeps the whole team in Chardikala and you do seva of spreading the message of Guru Sahib with more and more strength.
I was born into a sikh family... i have lots of interest in my religion .. feel very proud as well... v have Maharaj Ji at home... i do prakash and sukhasan of Maharaj ji also... but i do not do nitnem...i just want to get what we say leen in gurbani but do not do anything for it... i knw its very shameful but do not knw what to do 🥺
Just a phase, Happened with me as well, Glad I stuck around No one like my Guru. What I did was as I didn't want read gurbani, I listened to it..... Jsut dukh bhanjani sahib and sometime once a week Sukhmani sahib, Really works, by no means became a gursikh or anything but it really helped🙏
My pyaare Veer/bhern ji, it's not just any Punjabi words or phrases. It's my Guru's words. It's Gurbani. And whilst I agree, it would've been good if Gurbani pangtiyan were on the screen for everyone to understand; I also think it's quite difficult to manage editing these things when one doesn't have much time or people to do it. So I hope you understand ji. If you want, I can write those Pangtiyan (lines) here with translations for you. I would also suggest learning Gurmukhi and involving yourself in Gurbani for better understanding of any pangtiyan of Bani bcz one can definitely not rely on English translations. They are unable to capture the essense and beauty of Gurbani. Waheguru ji.
@@BasicsofsikhiTV Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh please let me know if there's any seva I can help with in terms of Punjabi typing/captions/translations or anything of that sort
@@harinder_ Vjkk vjkf ji! Thank you for this message ji, could you please email us at info@everythings13.org and just mention you commented on a BOSTV video about helping with this Seva and somebody will be in contact shortly ji :) thank you again! Vjkk vjkf ji!
Veer/bhern ji, you see I agree it would be good if they did it but we should also understand that it's difficult to edit every video when you don't much time or resources.
I believe in energy, but the water crystal experiment the Kaur is referencing is not generally accepted in the scientific community; Masaru Emoto’s experiments have been criticized for a) not providing sufficient data/details to the scientific community, b) having insufficient experimental controls, and c) by their design being open to/permitting external manipulation & human error.
There's nothing to get confused my veer. It's Guru Patshah hukum to not eat any maas, machi etc. Haan oh galh alag ho jandi, k if we want to listen and follow what Guru Sahib ji say or not. Whether we are willing to leave our mat or not and say sat bachan to Guru Patshah's every hukum, It's on us.
44:13 Completely wrong information. The three layers of Body are these: 1) Gross Body (The physical Body) 2) Subtle Body (The mind, intellect, False Ego) 3) Casual Body ( The Pranic Energy,Aniruddha Deha) Beyond all these, is the Atman , the Existence , Consciousness Bliss which is beyond all 24 Elements. At least you must read Sankhya Philosophy. Karma Indriyas And Gyana Indriyas are part of Gross Body not Subtle Body.
