I remember buying a blue gem five-seven on the market few years ago. It wasn't even remotely close to being as expensive as this but it still pisses me off till this day that I traded it for way less than I should have. Can't imagine how mad will the seller of this knife be when he finds out what he just lost.

I genuinely hope the seller never finds out how much its actually worth. That level of money some would kill for. Especially after finding out they scammed themselves
same with dragon lores on steam. some people sell them for less than a dollar lmfao. Some prices are even so weird, that it doesnt even make sense to assume they "forgot" a zero or placed the colon wrong. Those are probably kids or people who somehow unboxed those skins and then though like: yeah, cs is not for me, oh you can sell those skins? lets get rid of them fast
I wonder who the people are who buy such skins on the Steam market, are they just casual people looking for a playskin getting extremely lucky or do people constantly watch the market and instantly snipe the skin??
They check the input url which is directly aimed at those skins on a regular interval like every 10 seconds and scan every new listed item for pattern and float and if it matches one of the floats or patterns the person operating the bot put on the instant buy whitelist... yeah it buys it instantly.
The point of the startrack kill was that the original user got to use and see the knife ingame, where he saw it was fully blue, yet still sold a n1 patter blue gem for 400$ instead of 25k$ (Also, yeah, startrack resets when swapping owners)
Right? I feel like you have to be at least somewhat interested in skins if you're opening cases and selling a knife you got. Knowing a blue gem is worth something is like entry level skins knowledge.
Unless you are *heavily* into skins you've probably never heard of it. Most people don't really even know what float is. By the time you are on a video like this your bar for what constitutes "beginner" knowledge is completely out of the realm of reality.

Years ago i unboxed st bs kara black lam with 0.99 fv and sold it on market aswell but that was after i tried to reach anomaly and some other youtubers to price check it and faild. Some time later collectors started adding me and they said i lost around 60%. This however is unreal, its life changing money...

valve needs to add a pre warner for like rare patterns or something. if i was new and didnt know about patterns and the rarity and price i would be pissed if i missed out of 25k
I'm not sure Valve as a company would be willing to step up and officially deem one pattern as rare vs another... That's adds a lot of weight where as these are just community identified patterns that are highly desirable and not official.
@@Zarrx but valve add these patterns such as ruby, sapphire, emerald, blue gem etc on purpose. they are aware it is very rare and will be much more expensive

@@lovis_hertel inspect link changes everytime theres a new owner/something updates on the item. its using the inspect link prior to being marked as sold on the market
Maybe he is new to steam and cases, and its one of his first knives. He may have thaught case hardeneds look like that and that it was nothing special. But still hella ridiculous
The point wasn't that the 1 kill scuffed it, it's that he used it in game, actually got a kill with it, and still didn't realize on his own or someone in game telling him how much it was worth
@@leemarquez8995 the inspect link is artificial, it's what it looked like last time it was seen somewhere (market), once someone with the floatdb extention loads the new guy's inventory, the 1 kill will update
The 1 kill wasn't the problem it was that he played with the knife and didn't realize it was a blue gem and sold it for only 350 when the knife is really worth 35k

It’s not set prices it’s based on rarity and supply/demand (mostly from rich Chinese collectors), that specific pattern is rare and barely exists so the rich buyers are willing to spend that much to acquire it
it doesn't matter if it has a stattrak kill or nor, it's not worth more if it has 0 the point is just he clearly got a kill with it so looked at it ingame and must have seen the full blue blade but still sold it on the market
Why is all blue extremely expensive but all gold is worthless? Aren't both just as rare? I had a full gold case hardended gun and people laughed at me for how bad it was, but i thought it was cool.
