When I saw your sales training, I've didn't like you, because you were a stressful beast. But now after telling your story and showing your feelings as well as obvious traumatism, I can analyse why you're the way you are. I'm proud of you that you have achieved your goals and changed your life. Well done! I'm also an Entrepreneur in the tech industry and Management Consulting, I improve companies. So I know, the beginning is difficult, but once you have made it, then you can enjoy your life. It was great to have Grant share this. As a parent of an addict all we can do is be hopefully optimistic. We have NO control or input. Hopefully the slow motion train wreck is ending soon.
My story is nowhere near as dramatic, but I lost 40 pounds in 3 months. Food is pretty addictive too. Had to do a lot to get off of that. Went from a BMI of 29.6 to 23.5. Down 6 BMI points.
As a 28 year old with a degree in Political Science working minimum wage trying to break out and become a successful entrepreneur, it is so heart warming to hear a story of struggle that most successful people are afraid to share. Thats where you caught me cos that applied to me too, did drugs, brother died at a young age too... quited drugs for a few years now :) Also people telling me I couldn't do smth has been the biggest motivation to me every time.

A similar thing happened to me. Started hanging around with drug users and literally 6 days ago i hit rock bottom. Even thought I never used drugs I was hanging around with the wrong types of people. Someone who I thought always had my back started a small rumour and the person it was against came with a friend of his and beat me up and hospitalised me. It was from then on I realised I need to change who I hang around with. These 6 days haven’t been easy. But I’m getting there💯

I had my navy psychiatrist who medically discharged me that I couldn’t handle stress and I would be better off as a restaurant hostess. My mom told me I would end up on disability for the rest of my life because of my depression. After my psychiatrist told me that and my dreams of flying in the navy failed I began bartending and slowly fell into the trap of alcoholism which exacerbated my bipolar/PTSD. I ended up filing for bankruptcy and in a violent abusive relationship. I’m someone who scored almost perfect on the SAT And was most attractive, most athletic but always had a self loathing and emptiness and self destructive nature, in part due to my abusive mother and cowardly father. The gift of my angel daughter finally filled my heart with the love I needed to stop the madness and start fulfilling my dreams.

Your story is similar to mine. Kudos for staying clean. 10 clean and sober for me. Like you, I have a story to tell but havent figured out how or where to begin because I know if I tell my story, it can and will help others.

Everytime I hear this story about what the drug counselor said to Grant, I shake my head. There are some broken people out there. That’s the polite way of putting it.
I identify so much with your story man... I was a drug addict too and was surrounded by weak minded people with procrastination mentallity. I had to get rid of all my "friends" and start a new fresh start on my life. It takes courage and a lot of self love to be able to isolate from your social life in order to save yourself and build a big and better future for you! I'm on that step on my life, trying to find my way on this entrepreneurship journey... I will get successful, I know I will! Love you man, keep bringing light on people's lives

I’m 23 with a 3 1/2 year old daughter, separated from the mother, hand tattoos and a dog I can hardly take care of. But she’s a shar pei and I had to have her. luckily everyone never been addicted to drugs or alcohol and I hope to keep it that way. I’m 100% jobless and no income. I can’t take it anymore. I look like a fool for having no income but I have tattoos on my hands. I have a light like you do about you’re special. I haven’t figured out what that is but I know I have to push forward. idk what to do but I’m trying to figure it out.

This is how my life is going. I smoked since I was a teenager.My bff I cut him off because all he does is work, gym , smoke. It’s not like it’s a terrible thing to do. But I have realized that I am wasting my life. I’m 20 I have quit smoking. I’m kind of confused of the person. I want to be but I know one thing I love real estate! But I don’t how to buy one yet.start flipping them. Grant cardone is the man. My point is that everything is your head. I still fight my demons in my head. But I will win. First, your awesome! Second, your an inspiration and I glad your light broke out and made you the man you're meant to he. You once said you love people who do real work. Well that's me, I've done manual labor for 20 years and I've gotten nowhere. My wife is from the 9th ward. She was attacked in our home and also beaten to the point where I couldn't recognize her when I got home from work and found her. I need to succeed for her and stop living paycheck to paycheck.
It may sound stupid to say., but I have a “rich” friend according to small town standards, he won the “lottery” as a pot store owner. I tried to send him to rehab, despite everyone else just trying to get his money, he hates me for years. Now, his grandpa just died and he tells me to come back after literally letting me sleeping in the gravel down the hill from his mansion with a pool. Now he’s back. Am I angry? No. I still love him. I say, “you are worth it and you are capable, but only you have the ability to realize YOU’RE potential. I can just be a good friend”. Cause man was he there for me back in the day too. He’s just so stubborn, won’t admit he has problems with addiction, thinks he’s above it cause he got “rich” and “successful” young. I worry now that he’s on course to lose everything though, and I can’t get through to him...and I will not be around what he’s up to. I can’t. Ugh. 🤦🏼♀️ I wish I had the magic pill, but it doesn’t exist and I don’t know what to do. Not that anyone will se this. Lol. 😝
Can the real constitution be restored? Probably not . Too many Americans depends on government money under programs the constitution doesn't authorize, and money talks with an eloquence shakespeare could only envy. Ignorant people don't understand the federalist papers, but they understand government checks with their names on them

Damn grant I been an addict for several years I been clean for going on a year and I feel great I've changed my whole life from my behaviors to my way of thinking and feel like a brand new person I want to achieve so much out of life but I want to help people along the way and I been thinking about trying to start a business, write a book and start being a speaker for addicts in recovery. I would like to start some kind of business that has to do with recovery support but I don't know where to start. I have the drive, ambition and intelligence but I've never ventured into the business world so I have no idea where to even begin but I have a life time of experience in addiction and traumitizing life events so I feel like a pro at this. I've always wondered what's my purpose in life and always had that feeling that I should be doing so much more with my life because I can just feel it and I know I'm better than this. So I feel like my life experiences have brought me to this point for a reason and I think I've found my calling if there's any helpful advice you can give me I would greatly appreciate it.
I am exactly on the same boat as you are ..ambitious but an addict..still an addict ...like grant said do just what you are suppose to do..if you arr new to busineas ..research online..there is a lot of info and its ok if u make mistakes during the journey..its more of a lesrning curb than a mistake..i started a business with no idea about it ..startung with an income of a mere 200 dollars a month and expanded to close to 2000dollars a month in a years time..obv with ups and downs...keep doing what u r suppose to do buddy...just make a routine and do it!!!
