i run mine on a taramps smart 3 and it will take it but not for long, my voltage at the amp stays around 13.5 full tilt and no clipping whatsoever but the subs still gets cookin hot, ide say your best bet is 2500 watts MAX if youre playing for long periods of time, that one sub absofuckinglutely will flex the entire rear deck and rear glass up and down 2 or 3 inches easily at the right frequencies
bro he listiing to music not burping rms rating is to achieve xmaxx just because it can take 4k watts don't mean it enjoyable to listen to music on it no one under rates subs by 50% that's not what that means rms means what you need to achieve xmaxx anything more then that is wasted power mainly spl burping or demo
Is this sub worth the extra $350 from a skar zvx sub I’m deciding to get the sundown since I had the zvx 15 nd wouldn’t even handle my hifonics 3k watts at 1ohm
since your on a budget and we should all be with this piece of crap president jacking up the prices of everything,cut that box down to the correct size bro before it kills itself,x series were made for small enclosures which is good since the motor weighs so much you can go small with the enclosure and the sub will play right,just take a look at your box and see which way you can cut it down,later man.
