Ever since beginning your podcast, watching your videos, and being in CH, I've been nailing down my philosophy and joined the CMEC. And can i just tell you how freeing it is to be able to unsubscribe from ALL THE HOMESCHOOLING THINGS?? My email inbox is getting so much calmer, I don't feel like I'm missing out, I'm not buying random MEGA BUNDLE deals and never using them. I'm happier, my budget is happier, my brain has some margin. And those are just a few of the practical side benefits!
This is the happiest message! I love it so much! Enjoy digging through the CMEC archives. It is a splendid thing to feel yourself growing as a mother-teacher!
Thanks for the reminder. My exemplary tween just earned his first HS math credit with an A. We are so happy for him, and yet, reading a popular homeschool forum, I feel the need to put aside the math program we used and liked for a "better" version. I was feeling pretty good about not being sucked in to trends until we got to the HS years, and now the pressure is on. Thanks for helping me get mentally back on track.
So I feel like you talked about where you got your linen dresses in one of your videos, but I can’t seem to find it. I was wondering if you could tell me? Thanks!
Oh, it's probably deep in the comment somewhere. But yes. Most of my dresses (and, if you've seen all of the Common Mom videos, you've seen 'em all!): Not Perfect Linen, Son de Flor, old Madewell
I'm slowly trying to beckon my husband through the wardrobe, and, as I am always listening to your videos, podcasts, and referencing the Common House resources to him, today he looked over my shoulder and said "New video from your friend Autumn?" 😆
Ahhh, yes! I listen to Classical Stuff You Should Know enough while making dinner that they're referred to as "my classical guys". Honored to be an addition to the home sounds.
Philosophy is the most practical thing in the world. And two of my exercises when teaching Ancient greats: please tell me what the four cause are and how they work; and please explain the implicit syllogism of The Euthyphro.
Ooh. I enjoyed your video. We are classical cm also. Just subscribed. I also have a channel mainly about homeschooling and happy to be able to connect here! 😊
