you could, but should you? what is the point of this? honestly, people pay for a game but then use these tactics to complete subvert it and cheat their away.....
It's a strategy game, yet ya call a viable strategy a cheat? Lmao. It's for beating the map fast. Good for low turn count players or people on either Maddening or iron manning their run.
"Should you?" Why not? "What is the point of this?" What is the point of playing strategy games? To devise strategies to overcome challenges, which is what was showcased in the video. "People pay for a game but then use these tactics to" ... win. They use them to win, with style. "Cheat their way" Wasn't aware that Mewn hacked the game to do any of this. Honestly thought they did this using abilities provided in the game until you revealed otherwise with this comment. Thank you.
I understand what you're saying in a sense, this isn't fun to me either, but for a lot of people their fun is breaking the game. It's just different types of fun. I never built the broken stuff in 3 Houses or any other jrpg because i personally don't see the enjoyment in it but hey if he does more power to him
Because it's a fun challenge to figure out how to pull this off. Doing low turn count clears of Fire Emblem maps is a well-established self-imposed challenge.
you could be butthurt about the way someone plays a single player game, but should you? what is the point of this? honestly, people watch a video for a game but then use the comment section to be complete virgin it and cheat their away.....
Engage devs: Ok, in fe5, most players just warp skipped this map. But there's no way players can do that if there's no berserk staff, no blizzard, no capture mechanic, AND 3 hp bars, right? Mewn:
@@LCardosed92nah definitely still doable, it would probably just require resetting for Luna astras from Alcryst to kill the thoron mage preventing melee-ing Leif. Less reliable but saves an action
@@paladia_gorom1973 Really? Because from what I saw he required 2 extra actions using the 3 houses leaders. One from using Raging Storm from Ayrm and the other from using the special right next to Byleth, granting another turn.
@@LM11116 Yeah true but Houses Unite+ is exactly one of the tools that you have that allows you to move again. So 1 extra move or two extra moves, still got to use DLC for the 1 turn clear.
This is truly in the spirit of Thracia. Thank you for this wonderful video and strategy. I tried to warp skip this too (I think they designed this paralogue with the warp staff in mind) but you actually did it. Amazing.
I consider myself fairly decent at Fire Emblem games, and then I watch videos like this and it reminds me there are LEVELS to this lol. I'm always impressed at how people develop these strats
Damn warp is OP in every FE. Imagine playing chess and one of your opponent's pieces just moves to a random open spot on the board and then gets to move.
Fun trick but you don’t even need all fliers. Any surrounding land units will get plopped on the nearest landmass when you AOE warp a flier over a water square.
Oh man I never even considered that you could use Machiah to warp a whole group of units like that. That's so fucking cool! There's so much cool stuff you can do in this game if you learn all the mechanics.
I thought Micaiah's augmented staff stuff was only with healing staves, I wasn't aware it worked with warp or rescue, no wonder they got nerfed in this game.
I learned that from this video too but my reaction was “Between 5 person rewards and Great Sacrifice for mass exp grinding, Micaiah might be the most important Engage character out of sheer utility”
@@satosoujirou In basically all other games warping had a much larger range. If you've used a rescue staff in Engage, every warp had essential that much range. They restricted it to 5 spaces in this game.
some of the paralogues are really fun on how they change up your strategy like Leif and Lyn missions Though Ike's mission was just stupid how he blows up an entire castle and me sitting there going "yep... that is exactly how i remember this mission going in Path of Radiance" kind of wish Ike's paralogue was just a harder version of the real thing where the objective be just survive until X turn with a constant gauntlet of enemies running at you i just wish they bring back other win conditions again than just route the enemy / kill the leader, Engage is the closest to alternate win conditions we have had in a long time though, i do appreciate the game removing turn limit loss condition and replacing it with just hoards of unwinnable enemies instead as a soft way of implementing a turn limit rather than just losing outright
@@MasterStacona i actually prefer turn limits. Im on the more casual side and sometimes its easier when the game just goes "nah too slow" rather then the game infinintely spawning enemies and making me think i can still win because im stubborn and waste my own time because im also an idiot
Darn now this is impressive. Makes me wanna try this now on my second run of this map lol. Usually I keep everyone together just to max out support conversations but this is rather interesting.
It kind of does, it's supposed to just be healing staves but for some reason Warp and Rewarp count. So Hortensia can warp people 6 spaces away instead of 5.
i just paired chloe up with Tiki, maxed out their bond and level and promoted her to an advanced class, and gave her every permanent stat boost i could get my hands on then just threw her single handedly on top of leif and let her finish him off. Nobody could hit her, she kept dodging everything and one hit killing everything. Took longer than a single turn but definitely was only a small handful of turns. Stuff like this is fun. Im re-playing the game now and may try to do something like this, your method also looked a ton of fun.
"Remember one of the most infamous maps from Thracia 776? Well, it's back, and we can't make it nearly that hard here, but you're still going to have to carefully plan---" "Lol Eat shit, Thracia Map." **Poceeds to One Turn** BGM: Why do I vaguely sound like a Tales of Symphonia version of the original?
Leif: Okay, there’s no way they’ll get over here for at least 5-10 turns *sees them fly and warp across the water, and then proceed to defeat him in a single turn.* Leif: *confused screaming*
Man i seriously underestimated micaiah's ring. You don't get any unique staves early in the game so youre stuck with her just for the exp healbombs for low lv units. 10 chapters later after losing her, you get a whole slew of staffs with powerful game changing effects on their own. Then you get micaiah back..... HOLY COW! the sheer game breaking combo potential you had with her is mind blowing. I steamrolled chapter 20 because of her. Micaiah uses illuminate and i instantly find griss, astra stormed him away. Then at the end warp>goddess dance>warp combo to bring 4 units right in front of him still ready with their actions, and with my 4 other units with cavalry movement waiting at the corners. I wombo comboed his 4 companions first, followed by killing him, ending it with another astra storm. He never got the chance to celica bomb me the whole game 🤣
When I first did this map I did something very similar and I found it really funny when leif randomly just blew up a bridge on the other side of the map for no reason
I wonder if this can be further improved with the addition of Camilla but I guess that's sorta dependent on who you give her too since the optimization she could give would be giving any unit flying
It looks like Ivy uses E!Corrin solely for Draconic Hex, which is inheritable, and doesn't use her inherited Reposition in this battle, so you could inherit Canter and Draconic Hex onto Ivy and use a different Emblem on her. In addition, it looks like Chloe's role is entirely raw damage, so someone else entirely could slot in there. This is a pretty surface level look at my part, I am not well-versed in the game enough to propose meaningful changes, just a jumping off point from what I've observed.
I'm so glad I'm not the only one who took one look at this map and said "why not just fly right across the water and kill him?" I can't believe how many people are calling this the hardest paralogue in the game..lol
OMG this game is so crazy you can do stuff like teleport a group! Meanwhile back in the 90's: Okay so everyone gets to move twice in one turn also we stole the bosses weapons and goddamnit 3 people got crit... *resets*
Considering it hinges on multiwarping and goddess dance, technically yes, but without the Three Houses bracelet you'd be hard pressed to get enough damage, especially since they let you act twice.
@@DragonEdge10 Thrice, actually. Three Houses+ engage skill when next to Byleth and Edelgard's combat art. But then he needed two turns for a single health bar so at least one of those turns is optional.
This may be a stupid question but I can't figure out how Lapis got to move again after attacking. At 2:40 Lapis attacked with House Unite, how did she get to go again and use Raging Storm combat art?
When using house unite next to the character with byleth it becomes house unite +, letting that character act again. Works with other dlc emblems like Soren next to Ike, tiki next to marth, etc.
@@yelknip8894 yeah this FE more than any of the others I've played (started with Tellius) really makes me feel like they intended your units to be fighting back to back and advancing like a phalanx instead of splitting up
Bruh how am I just learning that rewarp and warp work on the unit AND ALL ADJACENT ALLIES. I've been using them. on singular targets for majority of the game.
