I only drive with all eight cylinders and get 22.5 at 70 mph and 25 at 55 mph. The total miles for a full tank will adjust, it takes a while. I enjoyed your video.
Tazer & Mid muffler delete. Forget MDS on in the long run it’s best for your motor. It will make the exhaust valve temp skyrocket because of unburned fuel on the cylinders not being used. Congrats on the new Scatpack!
When I first bought mine I was going to do the muffler delete but decided against it. Over a year later of ownership no regrets. It sounds amazing right from the factory. Enjoy!!
Congrats on the Scat Pack Charger! Welcome to Mopar! Good luck with noise and your neighbors. I got a note on my challenger because I left early on a couple Sunday mornings, 4-5am. I was beyond upset because I have the right to go where I want when I want. It's not like I was sitting there revving the crap out of it. Started it up, warmed it up for a minute or two, and pulled out. I said screw them, Lol....also what I've noticed with the fuel range. It will normally show like a worst case scenario after you fill up, let's say it will show Range 180 miles. It will adjust and calibrate depending on your driving (highway vs street). Like if on a road trip, you will actually see it adjust and go up. Kind of neat. Enjoy!
Granted it was a different model Charger but I had a rental SXT V6 in 2016 and I got well into the high 20’s and one tank 35 MPG and that was cruising around 75. Got just over 500 miles on one tank. Good to know that the fuel mileage isn’t that bad. I agree with the weird fuel door releases button position but I guess they figure you will hit the button after you open the door.
So what’s the gas tank size? I know you mentioned that fuel range remaining was around 300, I drive a BMW 535i and I understand what you’re saying that the algorithm for the fuel range is incorrect. I’ll have like maybe five miles left but am able to go maybe 5 more miles when it’s at - (0) or miles of fuel range.
TheWhatYouNeed, having owned 3 mustang I will say I like them a lot, however the scat is really a special car, go drive one if possible its the only way to really understand what dodge has done with these cars
vincent settineri I’m mainly just tired of driving a stick.. 10+years now.. and want the 4 door. You think 3 sets of golf bags will fit in the trunk?? My buddy is tired of driving his truck all the time haha
We are on week 9. What do you think of the sedan now? Btw I'm a big fan of the ride and your daily driver insights. Torn between your 6.4 bumble bee sedan vs. the 2018 Mustang GT. Decisions, decisions...
honestly still love the car, very livable every day and as far a mustang vs the scatpack it really depends on what you want out of a car, the mustang is lighter, corners better and has a little more upgrade potential however the scat pack is a lot more roomy, more comfortable, and more of a big rumbley muscle car for a daily driver the scat is much more livable and you really have no pressure when you drive it its all about have fun and doing burnouts and just chilling out, the mustang is a great car (ive had three) but overall its more competitive and more track orientated the scat is more of a badass muscle machine for the street, hope this helped I love both cars personally
vincent settineri Well put. It is hot rod vs sports car. The charger 6.4 has so much character that harkens back to a bygone era. If I don't get a wow in the 2018 GT test drive, I'm going 6.4 four door out the door.
