Hey Tilt, love your stuff. Thresh player here, you are gonna miss Q's, not a big deal. You REALLY need to get souls though. Thresh has no armor scaling and it's the only way he gets it. It may not seem important, but with a low soul count you fall quite far behind. Great vids, keep up the good work.
I love your style of creating these videos. Great selection of highlights, nice narration. Also by having more games in one video, it feels like Im making progress as a viewer with you (: hope to see more!
It's a bit hard to tell, but it looks like someone else (maybe the Zed that Tilt muted at the start of the game) was trashtalking earlier and the Kennen was basically saying, "Yeah, keep yapping," to them after they won.
Don't forget the q cast animation doesn't have to be in the same direction as the hook. ❤ And Draven puts little indicators on the ground to tell you where he's going to run 😉 Nice lanterns 😊
As a former support main, your q are awful when you miss, bliss when you hear the landing and the sound of gold following after. Keep at it you Oceanic cockroach! My respects
Lol I pointed that out as well. I understand OCE is a small reason but I feel like these dudes hold grudges for YEARS I understand why he misses Q’s I get embarrassed when I miss one in bronze and it fks my mental I can’t imagine a whole lobby of people that hate you eye dogging you the whole game
@@AidanStewart9 It's probably exacerbated by the fact that once you're in really high elo, your chances of encountering the same players more than once go up by a considerable amount. I don't doubt some of these dudes have a few bad games with each other and then end up HATING each other for months.
tilt is pretty disliked in OCE high elo bc of his toxicity- he's not as friendly in game as he is in these vids he makes, and also doesn't help that he spams sion support and forces adcs to adapt to a very unconventional play style or he just runs it down
As a Thresh main with over 200k mastery points, you couldn't have said it better, Thresh's most important ability during laning phase is indeed your E, it allows you to apply cc and dislocate multiple enemies even inside waves, gives you more damage to your autos and also disengages you and allies from enemies, people just think thresh is a more complicated blitz, which is completely wrong!! Also, glacial augment is, without a doubt, the best rune for anyone who wants to start playing thresh because it makes your E more reliable as a cc, of course, Q is important, but not as much as E, W and R, if you are not sure you will be hitting a flash+Q, then you can always Flash+E into R, and then you will be guaranteed to hit your Q, the only real thing that was getting me slightly off, was the fact you didn't consider picking glacial augment even once for thresh 😂, it just makes so much sense to me picking it up, it just guarantees you will be hitting a Q followup after an E, nonetheless, love watching your content, hope you give Thresh and Renata glasc more screen time as well ❤❤
Tilt, I mean this in the most sincere way, and I don't want u to feel bad. But you're most definitely the reason why I constantly relapse into the rift.
The zoning hooks are flawless. Took me a long time to get thresh hooks down, I remember my first game of thresh was in dominion I didn’t land a single hook all game, enemies were chill about it (obviously) and offered some tips - just keep practicing and don’t overthink it
Ignore the doubters, almost guarantee their not master tier(neither am I). Landing Qs is nice but, as a thresh main, positioning and knowing what to do with all your kit is the major win factor. You can land all the hooks in the world but if you can't do anything with the catch it's not worth putting yourself in the bullets way. Glad your enjoying playing support and look forward to future vids~!
"positioning and knowing what to do with all your kit" describes every champion in the game. Threshes Q is a whole 25% of his kit that he can't land but like twice a game. I can't land thresh Qs, but for whatever reason I'm cracked with pyke so I just play him instead. Your champ pool should be 3-5 champs that you are actually good with and can utilize effectively. Forcing yourself to play the "meta" champs is completely pointless if you're less useful on them overall
I remember when I used to play LoL, I, the support main, often fought the mid laner over the right to second blue. Though if we were on the red side, I often would ward enemy blue, and be ready to snipe it, or invade them just for it. Because a Sona with infinite mana is a really oppressive thing, as that's normally the thing preventing us from just spamming heal until we have a health advantage.
honestly you are playing thresh fine while longrange Q is certainly hype, proper positioning and E usage has way more lasting impact especially since after an E, enemys are in a tough spot to dodge a midrange Q, the angle for dodging is much smaller compared to a long range hook. Box doesnt have to always land, while the cooldown is quite long, positionning the BOX in a way where 2 walls are between the enemy and your carry, has sometimes a much bigger effect as having them inside the box thresh's main impact comes from W and E Q is unreliable, while W and E is guaranteed.
good vid but the mythical background music is making me want to strip down and go live in a dense rain forest to collect berries and make friends with fae alike.
Honestly the Qs you missed were perfectly fine because you forced the player to dodge in a bad direction causing them to die regardless (Alistair and serphine)
If this is you with your Qs regularly missing. What's it gonna be like when your Qs more often than not land with enough practive??? You'll become a monster :D
its a type of game plan. people use hooks and pulls as a disrupt or get enemy out of safety, causing an engage. Tilt uses minion control and vision to get ahead. simply his strategy will work with any hero, except those that need good skill shots to kill, lucky he does not play carry
i mean hitting q on your lvl is not aiming but when to use it. i think i improve on such spells by playing other champs that have similar ideas for spells. with thresh q i think anivia q is similar. so maybe playing anivia will give you insights to improve on thresh q. thats my strat i just wanna share.
Bro, don't worry about comments about your Thresh. Non-sup mains only seen Thresh in montages so if a single hook misses - you are thrash 😅 it's a multiplayer game. Sometimes they dodge 😅 I just feel like masochist when I see my master teammates dieing instead of clicking perfectly placed latern 😅😅 EDIT: Okay I got to stop commenting before finishing video. I press play and you literally say that 😅😅😅😅😅 Edit2: 38 days till split 2 ends? How old is the footage 😅
Thresh most important ability is a good use of his full kit. You seem to be a bit butt hurt about people commenting on your gameplay. What I said still applies though. You have to learn how to land thresh ultimate combo to lock down a squishy target. You land 100% of your ults if you combo of q plus e. But nevertheless, keep the grind. Its fun to watch you shit on the haters. Also remember thresh does not turn towards your cursor so you can land qs way more easily if you face the support and trow to the adc and vice versa
Also forgot to had, the 1 you landed on seraphine at about 4:00 mins, you ult and then you e her away. She did not get hit by your ults hitbox, unless she clipped the invisible one inside the terrain. Just press r after landing a q, you either get them or you press e and drag them in. Much love
Ok but you saying you don't need to hit q is such cope. In the first game you got carried and the second thresh game the q's were crucial to all of your plays
How the hell is Garen vs Sion a classic lane? lol. Sion got reworked a few years ago and was never really a top laner before that. Just an AP mid laner.
Yeah look at this guys missing q’s. What a noob men, Im silver and I stopped playing thresh, it was just to easy, couldn’t miss a q, and I was really trying men :/.
8:55 tilt, i love you man, but you died there because you decided to fully charge q to get 1 minion instead of healing , which would've lost you maybe 5 seconds(if you don't charge q). you have no right to call out lee sin for dying after
