I'VE PLAYED HOTEL CALIFORNIA Here is my 1 year progress of playing guitar. I'm pretty happy with the result and i'm sure anyone can reach that.Just be patience:)
U must practice like 8 hours a day. U have a very good grasp of rhythm right out the gate and your picking is extremely clean, your bends are on point as well.
I was one of the lucky people who naturally had good rhythm and timing which is why I’ve never really had to worry about that. My main issue was reading tabs so I eventually learnt by ear and sight about 5 to 6 months in which was hard at first but now is somewhat easy to a certain extent
You became absolute beast! The way you were playing Hotel California’s solo was insane. I loved the amount of expression you showed while playing it. Cheers to this amazing milestone!
Just started playing literally yesterday, was feeling a little discouraged at how hard it is for me to get my fret hand moving correctly, but this is very inspiring. At just one week you started to sound quite competent. Just goes to show that anyone can learn an instrument, you just have to put in the effort.
Fuck yah i'm learning a song ,for 3 months i think. When i started playing it and after 1 week i was fucks this shit haha, but i know that's hard but you need to practice everyday and dont give up if dont get that riff . I'm with 90% almost done of learn the complete song but i need get rythm and solve issues with my fingers . But at start it's hurts your fingers and because of this you could think that you cant play it . Like i dont take seriously when i started to play ,i dont give up because of "it's hard"i just played to get fun and after that i got this
@@antoniotunico5892 Yeah. I know i can become a good player, it's all just about dedication and putting in the time. Whenever I listen to something I think to myself "I will be able to play this song someday if I just put in the effort." And that's how I motivate myself.
@@amatsu-ryu4067 this it it! I hope that you can play something and upload it on yt. I watch videos of people playing songs ,like the dooo channel That guy is insane and always inspire me
I've only just started to play guitar for like 6 months or so and still in the process. It's truely inspirational watching how progress could be made in a year, keep up the good work pal!
I've been playing for over 20 years and I can honestly say that you're a much better guitarist when it comes to the electric. On the acoustic I'm still ahead because I've been playing finger picking stuff for ages but amazing progress overall. Hard work really does pay off.
@@theeltea there's a guy who posted his 1 and 2 year progress, he does 2 hours a day and by the end of year 2 he played the full song technical difficulties by paul gilbert flawlessly
This is really great progress for only a year of work. And I'm impressed at how well you managed to play some of the more complex song choices in this video. Good job 💚
This is so amazing! So motivating to see that hard work really does pay off. Would love to see a video of all the tools, apps, or channels you used. Keep it up!
Just wow man, I picked up guitar last year for a class in school but don't have that class this year so I kinda haven't had time for it, seeing this has made me decide to start making time for it again. I've wanted to play a few songs like that hotel California solo you did, Lynird Skynird, Robert Johnston, and scorpions that I haven't gotten to yet, thanks for the motivation!
Today it's been a whole year for me too, and this just inspires me to continue. I know dedication when I see it, and this is clearly one of the most determined people I've seen in a long time.
I’ve been also playing guitar for one year and haven’t anyone to relate to in terms of progress until I watched this vid. We both have very similar progressions. I’m gonna go back to try to learn this freaking arpeggio lick bye
To be honest its hard to believe u reach this level at this short time , its really cool! I'm on my 3 years of guitar and still cant play hotel California in front of someone or even a camera bc of stress 😂, its really impressive , wish I could have an exchange with you
This is truly inspiring. Great job! I picked up my guitar again for two weeks after not touching it since I was 13. I’m obsessed and determined to become a shredder now
@@sathira_anuk5179 I’m 26 now. There’s no such thing as too late to become anything. If you have the drive and passion to do something and becoming great at it your age doesn’t matter. Keep going you can do it!
That's great! I've been playing for about a year and half and my progression came with scales and chords I never really concentrated on learning song but now learning them is easier and understanding more cause of learning scales notes and chords for my first year
this is so kick ass dude as nasty as it is seeing the guitar dirty up over the year of u playing it was the coolest thing to see keep it up man u kicked ass
truly amazing! this kid probably is soon going to quit the school because he's just too cool too good for it, and i'm waiting for him to save the scene
Great vid Sir. U basically outpaced my guitar skills of 35 yrs after like 7-ish months. Thing is I never had the nerve to actually practice - fully relying on rehearsals, live gigs and occasional campfire happenings. Think I *should* have done some exercises! Haha. Cheers from Berlin.
After taking lessons for over a year and not seeing a progression I was happy with, I guess I'm just not musically inclined. Grats on the hella self taught progress!
Very well done. I wish I started as young as you are, you have a bright future! I recently picked up a guitar for the first time just over a week ago. Learning at 36, better late than never. But I feel like my finger dexterity could progress faster if I were 20 years younger, lol! Anyway, well done!
I have 22 years old and I feel that is too late for me to learn because my family told me that I should focus on my career rather than music also whenever I pick up the guitar to learn they keep asking me to focus on my studies, not music.
@@unknown001w It's never too late and not at all at age 22. I just really committed to it about 2 years ago and I'm 28. Made good progress so far and absolutely love it. It's something I'm looking forward to everyday. It gives you a lot of joy. There was an asian guy who just started playing the piano at the beginning of his 20's. By the end of his 20's he became one of the best jazz pianists in the world. So don't give up because of your age and don't listen to people who tell you to keep away from your joy. What's your life worth if you have all the money but no joy in your life. Do what makes you happy.
@@unknown001w Honestly, when you're 32 you'll just regret that you didn't start 10 years earlier. You're not just on this planet to work your butt off. What would be the point of that? If you really want to do this then go for it and learn to balance work and hobbies/passion.
Dude, you killed it!! And nice PRS too! Keep going and look at music schools (if your willing to learn a lot of theory and how to read... and simultaneous multi-part dictation and sight singing, and...)
See that you're self taught. What method did you use to learn? Have you been doing online lessons or teaching videos or similar? Tremendous progress - really impressed with your work ethic!
it just makes sense for you, no one is saying you’re a natural because being a natural is an insult to all your effort and practice but you just get it you know? idk it just makes sense
your doing very well for a year keep up the good work like on x factor and pop idol all them vocal shows they need to put there own spin on it make it there own song musicians are same re writing the music making it yours even adding to it when doing a cover then its mind blowing on here on you tube every ones a karaoke guitarist covers are copy's there is no originality to them you have the rhythm in you to get creative with a song keep up good work looking forward to your 2nd year vid
This is very inspiring. I am 22 and began playing 03.12., so 2 days ago. I already got D, A, E and Em down alright, cant change chords fast but getting there, I am using JustinGuitar youtube lessons right now. Can't play any songs yet, but working on it, I should also try playing tabs soon. Liked the Hotel California bit a lot!
