I can relate to the change of relocation. I came from California, to Florida. Brha! Y’all’s heat is something vicious 😳🥵. I’ve been out here three years now. Wondering how am I still alive 😂. The hair part. I once had dreads. They were close to my shoulders. I would get mistaken for someone else, by cops, and others around me. So, i’ve decided to dye my hair bright red. People thought that I was crazy for doing it, but cops NEVER stopped me again. Others couldn’t say, “oh, I thought you were pooky. He owes me money.” I cut them off for personal reasons. I started seeing others do something similar to their dreads🤔. That was 11 years ago now. Even the whole mushroom look. I did that during my Elementary days. I caught smoke from that. Everyone was calling me names, putting it down. That was about 24 years ago for ya boy. Now it’s in😳! I must have been ahead of my time 🤔😂. I simply just wanted to be different. I NEVER followed the styles that everyone else were doing. Looking like walking cookie cutters 😂. Do ya thang young blood ✊🏽

Lol i had been growing my hair out for 2 and a half years but cut it for waves and hated how I looked with a low cut. I kept waves for a little while but started growing it right back out before the wave trend got popular again. As soon as I started growing my hair back, Wave checks became a thing haha.
