Hi there, I see you're a vegan, and so I was hoping you could tell me about what it's been like eating strictly vegan there. I actually am whole food plant based, so even more strict than vegan, but my husband and I really want to travel to Albania, as long as I can get the spinach I need daily. Would you please let me know your thoughts on this - thank you! Nancy
@@NancyLouHoo It is definitely possible to eat strictly vegan in Tirana, but it is very difficult in other cities. Many Albanians outside of Tirana don't really understand the idea of not eating meat, let alone dairy and eggs. Personally, I would not recommend Albania if you are very strict about a vegan diet and not willing to eat vegetarian food. It may be possible if you are cooking all of your own food, but eating mostly at restaurants can be tricky if you are 100% vegan. You can buy spinach here, so I'm guessing maybe you want to cook your own meals anyway.
Great video Ben! I am a retired Architect who trained an Albanian student. He took me back to his homeland on a tour and I can say I was blown away Let us hope that tourism doesnt destroy the innate beauty of this , so far, undiscovered part of the Balkans. A new airport is under construction in the south and a port underway near Durres. ( remember Dubrovnik and Venice before the cruise ships ?
It’s so beautiful to see you loving our country and choose to be there because lots of countries they point out only things that miss to our country ... so seeing you loving it it makes me be even more grateful being from Albanian 🇦🇱
I really miss Albania. The people are incredibly hospitable and welcoming. I did a month cycle tour around the Balkans and Albania was definitely a highlight. Kosovo was fascinating and Montenegro was stunning, but Albania just had so much heart. And the food was perfect for cycle touring.
Y wouldn't they say that? As a life to live, SHQI-PERIA ALBANIA 🇦🇱 is better. Not just better, but generations better. Usa 🇺🇸 has nothing in comparison with HISTORY AND LIFE.
Thank you for your compliments of Albania. As a young couple ,my parents immigrated to the USA since 1965. I may be American born and raised, but my ❤ is Albanian.
Great video I had the same experience I felt very safe safer than Chicago where I live for sure, that tells me how fake the movie industry is, I loved the food, beautiful beaches, people are very nice loved it

Well done you! Really pleased to watch this video. I visited Albania in April 2024 and fall in love with this country. Bought ticket to Tirana again, will fly in October ,can't wait!🎉
Just returning from 5 days here. Almost did not convist my family because of Européen clichés on "Mafia people of Albania". As a result the coolness of Albania took us by surprise. Wonderfully country.,,,💝

Thank you for sharing your experience with us I was born in Lovina small village near Gjirokastra left at 17th to United States and now at my old age and being retired I want to go back and live there near Saranda
Great words about albania. Ben You have learned so much about our wonderful place Your becoming great albanian cook 😁😊 this video right on spot the positive vibes that is needed right
Hey! Yeah the north is beautiful! I’m actually doing another north trip starting tomorrow. I’d recommend this route: Tirana to Komani Lake Ferry, Valbona, hike to Theth, Shkodra, Mrizi i Zanave (Lezhë), Kruja, back to Tirana. Though I’ll send you a DM on Instagram, because the hike is quite dangerous right now because of the snow, and driving can be difficult to sort out if you take the ferry 😄
Lovely video Ben. Many thanks. I’m planning to visit Albania soon perhaps with the intention of buying a home and moving from the UK. I’ll now check out your other content. Cheers!
Youre welcome and hope you have a ready idea of what you are searching for 😊. Im from south . My city is vlora. If you come at my city just text and i can give a help or an advice
I was in Albania last year. I saw Tirana, Saranda and Ksamil. My experience was very good. The cities are very beautiful, I liked the food and the people. 🤗
Nice video. I think that honestly I can say that the enjoyment of travel is enhanced by your traveling companion. It looks like you have that covered. Enjoy yourself
I'm coming to Albania next month. I'm also working on getting my international teaching certificate because the schools/government are paying people to teach English in their schools and I want to see this beautiful country. I've done a lot of research and I'm so excited I can hardly wait. Also, if that "project" you're working on involves that beautiful young lady that's following you around, I say BRAVO DUDE!! Baltic women are so drop dead gorgeous it's unreal, and it's also said that they look so beautiful, they don't even need make-up, unlike the women here in the US. Good luck, and may God bless you.
Hey man nice video! I met you couple years ago at your grandmothers house in Masons Island I was painting her house . I hope you’re enjoying yourself in Albania
I've visited Kosovo a few times now (Prizren, Peja, Rugova), and I've loved it! I'm definitely hoping to visit Macedonia and Montenegro at some point too 😄
Thanks for this beautiful video. I am planing to visit soon. Since I live in Dubai I would love to be in Tirana for 2 days and few days in any country side with lakes and mountains. Kindly advise 🙏
