The story of little Cashy shredding is a magical one that started 6 years ago.
Nick was so excited to be a dad and do all the things with his little girl that he got her a snowboard before she was even born. Then at just 9 months old little Cashy started walking like a pro. That made us think, maybe she would want to try snowboarding. So two days before her first birthday back in 2017, with many family members in tow, we headed to our home mountain and gave her a taste of what we as a family now call our “Happy Place!”
We were up sliding around the bunny hill for about an hour. In that hour she never cried, never got bummed and if you watch it looks like she was trying to figure out the new feels of sliding on the snow.
This was the first video we ever posted of Cashy snowboarding and to our bewilderment it went richter.
The one thing that I want you to pay attention to is at the end of the video when the news caster says what our end goal was. Who would have thought that 6 short years later we are practically there. And by practically, I should say WE ARE THERE!
Few reasons we wanted to reshare this video.
1. Time flies and this is your reminder to be present with your family and enjoy every moment.
2. The snippets of news coverage that followed after we posted this many years ago. Not sure if we shared those or if anyone even recalls.
3. Our beautiful community here has grown far more than we could ever imagine and we wanted to show where this journey started.
4. We just love this video and it brought both of us parents to tears again like it happened yesterday.
The best part about the whole journey is that we get to spend so much time together as a family. Laughing, bonding, smiling and having so much fun.
