1 Year on T / 1.5 Months Post-Op

@emyboos I saw it and it made me smile. To answer your question briefly: I've always known. My parents tell me I told them as early as 3 and 4. I know I talked about it around the time I was 6. So I've always known I was a guy, just took a bit for me to be confident and have the courage enough to do something about it. Thanks for your kind words :)

@zomgpunkins1 Nah, you're safe - these are legit questions. Pain Meds - hyrdrocodone for about 2 weeks then some extra stregth tylenol and ibuprophen. Healing was pretty painful - I could barely use my upper body for anything. Coughing, sneezing, and laughing were the worst. Binders - used to compress chests before surgery, to make the chest flatter under shirts. I used the binders/really tight tshirts post-op for a few weeks to compress my chest so excess fluids wouldn't build up

@jasonlikesdeathmetal another great point! everyone going through their transition should regularly see a psychologist who specializes in LGBT issues. I was depressed in the years leading up to my transition. I went to a psychologist who helped me determine the right path - for me it was to transition. I continued going through my transition. Everyone who knew me before and after has seen a dramatic change from the depression to how happy and confident I am now. Thanks for bringing this up!

Great point! Most people think of trans individuals being disowned by their friends and families. My family wasn't one of them. They stood by me through everything and we're so much closer than we were before. I'm not sure what you mean by nipples + mad but let me know and I'll try to help you understand that, too. Thanks for taking time out of your day to learn about something that so many people don't understand.

@GregorVladek It was about 7K - I worked my ass off over the summer and my parents helped with what was left over. They have been so supportive - when my surgeon said something about it being 'elective' my mom corrected him and said something like "This is our son's life we're discussing. His life is not elective'. It was baller. If I could do it over I would've gone to Dr Garramone is Sunrise, FL. He's the best of the best. Hope this helps.

I have been looking around youtube for trans* videos as a form of education. As a potential Academic, or secondary teacher, I know full well that I will meet trans* people throughout my employment. Though I am homosexual I know little of what it may be like for trans* people. It really does bring a smile to my face to see someone so happy after starting transition! I am sure I am the thousandth person to say this, you have a cute smile.

@starsheild7 This is a great initial point - many other folks have the same confusion about gender identity & sexual orientation. You suggest that "BPD is curable" & that allows folks to "rever back to heterosexuality". Even if BPD and Gender Identity were linked, it would bear no effect on one's sexual orientation. Gender Identity is the way one sees oneself. Sexual Orientation is the sexual/romantic attraction to another. If BPD does, in fact, cure anything it would not be sexual orientation

One example of someone having BPD from being raised by nice parents is: My boss was raised by very nice parents (they let him choose to do whatever he wanted as a kid), there were no "pressured" standards to follow (nor were their standards to dredd if he failed them either), but this same employer of mine still had the tendency to shift his staff rules (risking my job) to suit his rappidely shifting moods. He would also speak ZEALOUSLY about defending shifting gender identities.

The brain can suffer from BPD (Bipolar Personality Disorder), when the person has such changing feelings and thoughts that sometimes they may feel depression and most often equate their depression with their body and have the desire to "transition" their body. The mind can fall victom to false emotions, it's all about how the person can be tricked through depression through a disfunctional upbringing. Sufferers of BPD simptoms may consider "changing" their bodies to avoid the depression

They've figured out some intensely difficult and controversial things about themselves did what they had to do to be honest and true to themselves. It's a very cool things that they have done and I know I appreciate your positive words.

Thank you Certain emotions of BPD will say, "my old beliefs blames my body for my failures, my failures cause me pain, I must change my body to avoid such pain", for example: if narcissistic parents teach their children to work at acheiving a false standard in a certain gender role, their children will feel punished or pressured for failing to achieve their parent's false gender standards, & those children will feel so depressed that they'll try to change their gender standards to avoid failure

@jasonlikesdeathmetal actually, there are a couple of different things transguys could do: have a phalloplasty or use a prosthetic for example. luckily with all of the medical advancements there are a bunch of things to be done in that area. i understand that it's a relatively new field and most people don't really know that much about it. i appreciate your concern for my well-being but i think i've got everything under control. let me know if i can help you with any other common misconceptions.

@shortdawg11 Nope - sorry, I could see how the title could be misleading. It was 1 year on hormones (testosterone) and only a month and a half post-op. There's a newer update video of my chest a year post-op go to my channel and the video called "Last 2 Years" - around 5:48 shows my chest a year post-op.

That may be the case for some, but all transgender people have to have extensive psychological evaluations and therapy by licensed practitioners before they are allowed near endocrinologists. These doctors work with transpeople to help them understand their mind-body connection. Transpeople come from ALL walks of life (and family backgrounds) but they all have the same situation. You would think that thousands of psychologists all over the world would be able to diagnose BPD for their patients

...Continued So basically, you can, if you wanted too, be satisfied in calling yourself a woman without any depression manifesting itself. All you'd have to do is get rid of your BPD to make it VERY easy to do. The best way to cure BPD is to get rid of the standards that your parents (or other toxic relationships) may have taught you to believe (standards that you may now think are innoscent even today). You can even get surgery to return your feminine appearence if you wanted too :)

Oops, I forgot one more thing: I've explained how a false sense of self can be "pressured" on a child, but I forgot about the kind of false sense of self that can be merely influenced (without pressure) to the child as if it were simply innoscent(this false sense of self can be a vast number of minute things like social dynamics, relativism, a lack of clear answers... etc), that if these things are not normal in terms of healthy thinking, BPD can "shift" many emotions including gender identity.

I've addressed this a couple times before so this is my answer the other time: Actually this is a huge misconception and I can understand why it's so confusing for you.  In the womb, gender is actually hardwired in your brain before genitalia is differentiated. So that's the first way we know our gender. Physically, genitalia, hormones, and chromosomes are used to determine it. It's much more complicated than people think. So in fact it's not a mental disorder at all - it's 100% biological.

...Continued ...This boss of mine also kept changing his friends constantly, he'd change his career goals (this guy was smart & aspired for greater things in life but he kept settling for the janitorial manager position), and even though he was straight, he would have these shifting moments were it seem liked he would "cross over" to homosexuality if he were "pushed" because of his rappidly shifting moods & VERY zealous about gender identity (to the point of obnoxious). These are all BPD traits

This is extremely sad. Thank God for warning his believers about staring.....cuz we never know who we are staring at.

Good thing BPD is curable, and because BPD is curable, many people have reverted back to heterosexuality because they got rid of their BPD. Side note: The extreme side of BPD is the reason that men "think" they are "girls" living in the "wrong" body and why women "think" they are "boys" living in the "wrong" body, an extreme case of BPD is the explanation. The only reason the video maker "thinks" she wants to be a "boy" is because she chose to equate her depression to her feminine features.

there have been studies that show feminine features are considered more attractive, thats probably what causes it
