hi, the author of this video, I’m from Russia and I watch your videos, I have a w221 s600 lorinser, and I do everything with the car myself and I really like it. your videos are useful, I don’t understand why you have so few views, there are very few such videos and information on the M275 motor on the Internet, the next car I want is an s65 M275 motor, I hope you get it and you’ll make a video😊

Hi there - thank you for your comment. That is awesome, Lorinser, be cool to see photo / video? :) I appreciate you like my videos but yes not many views. I am same as you - I want a S65 too! Haha - one day! Great to have different counties like Russia watching.

I am amazed at your mechanical ability and knowledge. I have a 2007 S600 as well. I had a Indy tell me I have a bad valve seal gasket. No one here in the states will touch it, (Outside of the Stealership). My options appear to be, #1 pour some snake oil in it and drive until it dies or #2, finding a place that builds engines and hope the cost of repair doesn't outweigh the cost of the car. What would you suggest?

Thank you I appreciate the comment :) And yeah so while it seems a risky / big job the motor is still not actually too complicated like a more modern VVT engine. However, I’d be inclined ultimately to still try find an Indy who would work on it … half the battle is finding / knowing what parts to replace so I’m happy to share my parts list with you for that whole project and that might make it less overwhelming for someone less familiar with this engine. Ultimately your biggest would be labour - but yeah, sounds like yours will need a bit more work - stripping the valve train apart and replacing valve seals .. (you mean the valve seals right? So does it blow blue smoke?)

@@thatmatty231guy Thinks for the advice. Can’t say I’ve seen it. I took it in before of a misfire. The Tech stated the #6 spark plug was wet from oil. Upon further inspection, there were multiple cracks in the vacuum hoses near the MAF and that was what he thought was most prevalent in causing the misfire. I took it home and parked it until I got more info about repairing the valve seals. However I did notice the oil was rapidly disappearing, so the Tech appeared truthful. It’s been sitting for an almost 8 months.

Maybe I didn't quite understand your diagnosis, but why don't you use openport2.0 and xentry? it’s very cheap and you get full functionality and you can also update all the firmware, add new functions, make an AMG menu to better monitor the temperature, and also make the firmware for the box and engine like the s65 because that’s what it’s for. s600 is easy to do and get 600 horsepower

I was probably not educated enough originally - but I agree now - it would have been much better. Because my Star Multiplexer is currently broken / getting repaired - so have to send to UK :( So yes Openport would have been much easier and cheaper. But nevermind, next time :)

Hi Derek, correct yep. Yes sure I’m happy to help I’m just quite busy for next week though so would be in about 2 weeks if that is ok? Please see my website reidwerk.nz to get my email to book it in properly . Are you nearby? It’d be good to see what it needs quickly / diagnose it - then I can order any parts it needs but it might be simple fixes - we can investigate :)
