1 year update bustin boards hybrid v3 

Just in time for summer! 👍🏻 watch out on the hot days, the e skateboards dont like 90+degree abuse. the hub motors just retain a lot of heat. That goes for all brands.

@@xanderx51 That's the price you paid? Also how easy is it to push and how well does it roll w/o assist? I want a board with assist for some of the hills and whatnot but that can be pushed 80% of the time.

For what it's worth i know someone with an evolve i think it has the at wheels i rode it for few hundred yrds on a bike path he rode my nls pro and honestly it was ok I don't see what the extra price gets you. compared to just the shape and feel of the Bustin sportster, the bustin is hands down my pick it's so low to the ground especially with the stock wheels which I actually switched back too this year. It looks like a real skateboard. I definitely hate the meepo and backfire type square battery packs it looks stupid compared to the low profile boards. But yeah you can't really go wrong they're all so good as long as you treat the battery with care. Unfortunately with batteries it's common to get lemons hence why it's easier working with a usa based company

@@jak3est So you think I shouldn't get 100mm wheels on top of the stock 90mm? They don't do cloud wheels anymore though. It's not a big difference anyhow from what you showed

@@djo0164 eh it's up to you and where you ride i think like I mentioned if its kinda rough old pavement in your area id go 100 but they've been repaving my town so I switched back the feel of the lower board (though justa few millimeters ) actually is pretty noticeable

I just went out this morning for ten min was kinda cold out but yeah these 100mm wheels make no noise. not sure if id like the cloud wheels? personally id have to watch more reviews before going that route. I love the wheels on it now tho.

@@jak3est thanks for the vid, also went with the Ash Black w/ 100mm - bailed on my 120MM Cloudwheels, seems to be too dangerous a wheel with minimal contact patch - particularly if you like to carve and turn

I have a friend that ordered them for his meepo i was excited to try em. it was a sale on new motors,trucks and cloud kit really good deal... only to tell you after the purchase they are in covid lock down in china no eta on shipment lol yeah i saw that being an issue! Literally called it in my review haha 🇺🇸

i put the board inside in the warm at 75% then took it out after winter Is it permanently lower power? i forgot to mention is sometimes the battery goes into a low power limp mode (as if you were on one bar of power) usually after large long hill to remedy it I noticed if you stop hop off go wot for a sec (board peels out goes 2ft then brake) it instantly is back to full power its odd but it never really was an issue since it happens once every couple weeks and easily fixed on the fly. I also have insanely huge hills im going down nearly full battery when it happens. But its not an issue sometimes I'll have to tell my buddies to wait up a sec if it happens but then its fine after i fix it.(not a deal breaker to me even all my friends think the boards great)

Also you said yoface are you kick flipping it bashing and ollie it? Maybe something came loose ?

@@jak3est No just got the YoFace for how nimble and agile it is. Mainly just cruising and normal Ollie's over stuff. But I was able to get ahold of Bustin boards and they verified that the battery is the issue and that cells are imbalanced causing the premature cut off. Luckily they are super busy and are willing to send me a replacement battery or have me send in the board. But with the season I am just going to collect the battery, fix it and send the old battery back out too them. Hopefully I. The next 2 weeks I will get it all buttoned up. I was outside of my warranty and they are still helping me out. 💯

Thanks yeah np glad it helps. Any of the bearings are good I personally didn't wanna do ceramic though For fear that they could possibly break idk. But I already switched out the bearings rather than clean them they're so cheap I just get new ones off Amazon yellow jackets abec9 or higher

Yeah they're kinda lacking in the customer service. But just be patient hopefully they sort it out. I think someone had same issues as you and they made it right. I mean my boards a year old and i have a video of my 8 mile ride and it was only down one bar when i got back. All these skateboards advertise a 150lb rider on economy mode to stretch their range claims. You should be at least getting 12-15 at the least.

The v3 is pretty smooth compared to the nls pro I would say it feels similar, except maybe a little stronger acceleration and braking. Im actually going to sell my meepo I didn't ride it once last year. I think that should sum it up. The bamboo flex is nice sometimes tho, but I always subconsciously grab the bustin now if i go skate. Plus the bustin hybrids batteries are really good ..range similar to the meepo nlspro which is good. Hard to actually test all my routes very hilly but i think the hybrid has better range if im in town its flat and i kick more with the hybrid with it being so much lower its like a reg longboard Also i like the remote for the hybrid its smaller and not black looks less like a gun or weapon lol but yeah all the boards have pros and cons one of the biggest pro is the top mounted trucks it handles way different than the meepos or backfire. Totally different feeling(in an awesome way) hard to explain 🤷‍♂️

Yeah i feel ya, rewatching my video i kinda made it sound worse than it is. Like i said something was initially bad with one side out the box. once i went to new sleeves (the 100mm) it was fixed but i had snapped literally half the nuts on one side of that hub plate so it's probably moving a smidge right now. Haven't got the chance to try match screws at the hardware shop to replace them yet. But yeah if i went out to try and show you, you'd probably hear nothing or something minor related to me running it on half the bolts. If you look up other videos on RU-vid of people riding you dont hear anything so i think i just initially got a faulty sleeve and bustin made good on sending two new rear sleeves. Im certain if it started again id put a piece of tape on the hub under the sleeve tighten it up more or some kind of thick grease idk i think its fine tho honestly
