This was about a year ago. Quick 2 year review: it’s still kickin! Haven’t had any real issues with it since that replacement. If it goes out on me I’d likely get the newest model.
@@thebittersideoftech I just started playing WoW and have been playing on an old, circular 7 button Razer Naga, and hope that having the pro will improve my experience
I beat Diablo 4 entirely with just (almost) everything mapped to my Naga, didn't need a keyboard outside of some menu bindings or to type. Awesome mouse
I've used the naga for over 8 years now I think and I got used to the number pad before the trinity version came out. I can use the number pad for everything. Even with my new V2 pro, the other side panels are still in the box lol. The buttons don't get in my way usually. In FPS games the number 1 and 2 are constantly being pressed because of how your thumb rests but this can be easily fixed by unbinding 1 and 2 in the synapse program.
I need a little more grip for FPS so I usually use my basilisk. Glad it works well for you ! I’m sure hand sizes make a big difference for everyone on these
When it comes with Razers stuff, it's really hit or miss. 90% of the time being miss. I had to RMA my mouse, but the replacement unit works fine for the past year. Best mouse I've used for sure, and I really hope that they'll keep selling this mouse.
I think to be honest all these hit or miss that people get in bad experiences that people get with razor. I think it’s just random to be honest everything I’ve gotten from razor has been in top-notch condition and build quality. I don’t know I guess I got lucky
@@shiftinggearsnpassingqueers can't say the same for myself, I've been buying razer products since 2013, my old razer naga broke within a year, Kraken broke within a year, DJ Adaro material flaking and wire peeling within 6 months, Razer Blackwidow V3 pro volume wheel stopped working within 1 month, Razer mouse dock not charging within half a month
@@iLiekLemonade I do think they have a quality control issue over there. There are some mice or headsets that have lasted years and others that have lasted months. This time my naga is still alive and I may try the new.one that just came out.
@@iLiekLemonade Ergonomically I agree, but man is their durability Sheit. The first razer i had was the 2011 smaller version. After 2 years left click or right click stopped working. Got the razer naga 2014 version after it. 1 - 2 years later, same issue happend. Ive bought another one, Same thing happend. Now im on the Razer naga trinity,my first one the left click issue happend AGAIN...now im on my second trinity and now my 12 button side pad is failing. Fyi, Im very careful with my equipment. It's like they do it on purpose now.
Basilisk v3 for FPS, Naga Pro with 12 button for mmo. I've got no problem gripping it, just grip it from the front. Personally, the Basilisk v3 is the best mouse I've ever used.
A problem I had is randomly I would click the side buttons and it wouldn’t register. A few seconds later it would work. Really odd. Did anyone else have this problem?
This seems to be a common issue with this type of mouse. I bought a 12 button mouse of a different brand, the buttons on the side work hit and miss as well. I can't count the times it got me killed in game.
I'm more interested in how the rubber button/skin holds up... all my previous razer mouse becomes sticky even when not used over 70% of the time. Hence i jumped over to Logitech, which i've yet seen a single mouse having this sticky rubber issue, but i do really really like the design of this mouse.
Great point! My wife’s viper has been showing its age with pads and rubber grips for sure. This naga doesn’t have rubber in the sides ( at least with the numpad attachment I normally use) so I haven’t had an issue there. The pads have held up well so far and I don’t see any rubbing on the actual bottom yet. It is not my only mouse, but is the one I play MMOs with.
I've had so many Nagas over the years because I like the design of this mouse so much but all of them has always had build quality issue. The current Naga Trinity that I have already has the left click double clicking on it's own sometimes
If build quality was your main issue, you should check out the naga V2 pro. Best quality-feeling mouse I've ever tried. But it's also quite heavier than all other nagas.
@@shagadelic3000 I know this one uses optical sensor for the buttons which theoretically will never fail but I'm still skeptical. Maybe something else will fail in the future. How long have you had yours for?
My Naga Pro mouse wheel decided to stop working randomly. I've done everything the website suggests to solve the issue. No luck. I decided to take it apart as it's outside warranty and everything looks fine (i work in IT) I cleaned it and reseated cables. No luck - the mouse once i put it back together still functions perfectly as expected APART FROM THE MOUSE WHEEL JUST NOT WORKING. (mouse wheel physically moves without issue, it's just when scrolling a webpage for example) Scroll lock is also off. please help someone
i had same issue with Corsair Scimitar Elite. you have keybindend mouse wheel click in MMO games? if yes then this might be the problem. the middle click seems to be damaging the wheel mechanism overtime and it will stop scrolling web pages as it supposed to do. like what happened with mine and prob yours. for me the quickest dead 100$ mouse i ever had despite the build quality. i came from Logitech G600 to Corsair this is why im surprised how quick other brands can die.
@@highvalue242 I ended up opening the component which registers the mouse wheel turn and afterwards lifted the tiny pins to have a firmer connection to the outer metal circle it needs a connection too and.. voila problem solved
Ive had this mouse for almost 2 years and its still working like the day i got it. If you havnt seen it, Razor had come out with a Naga Pro V2 that is supposed to have improved battery life and also now supports Qi Wireless charging and now has USB C, but im not upgrading to it because my mouse it doing fine for me.
@@thebittersideoftech Lucky for you guys .. My mousewheel on the naga pro just suddenly stopped even though everything else functions perfectly. Cleaned it, reseated cables (outside warranty by 6months) and everything works as expected, apart from the mouse wheel not working on webpages or when keybound in games, it works perfectly. Honestly so annoyed. It cost $300 where I live and I love the mouse ... WHEN IT WORKS
I love my Naga pro, but the only thing is that the scroll wheel has accumulated some dust in it which is impossible to remove with compressed air. This makes it very hard to use the scroll function, and I have to press the scroll wheel side to side to actually scroll pages. It also just randomly scrolls up and down by itself because of the dust. This gets really annoying in shooting games when I'm just trying to shoot someone and my mouse decides to switch weapons mid-firing. The only solution is to disassemble it and remove whatever is in the scroll wheel manually. But I would need replacement mouse skates for this model, which I can't find anywhere. Apart from the scroll wheel, the mouse itself works great and I haven't had any connectivity issues.
This connection issue is all over the razer reddit it looks like some update they did broke all naga pros, mine also only works wired now. anyways they don't seem to care because no solution has been brought
i had this very issue for about a month and i think i finally fixed it. after countless uninstalls of razer synapse didnt fix it. i updated windows, took the dongle out of my usb 3.1 port and put it in a usb 2.0 port. unplugged my keyboards usb hub port and finally i went into task manager and closed everything that had to do with razer then reopened razer synapse. since i did this i have been on 2.4ghz wireless with no problems. not sure which of the things i did fixed it but im not willing to start tinkering around to figure out which fixed it.
It will last a full day and them some. I haven't really measured the hours. If you turn off RGB it will last a really long time (For a gaming mouse). It won't last as long as something like an mx master mouse, though.Charges pretty quick.
I got this mouse based on a recommendation of a fellow user of Presonus Studio One (digital audio recording software). I have yet to use it and I've had it about three months. I know it would speed up my workflow immensely. Hope this vid is the beginning of a new work flow.
I've messed with some display models of the new Razer Naga models. They feel so gigantic. I'm coming from the Naga Epic 2011 model that's small and very comfortable to use as a regular everyday mouse. Wish they would go back to the smaller profile.
Yeah I use the 12 button only for MMOs and davinci resolve really. Otherwise it’s kind of a pain. You get used to it. I’m glad it has others. It’s still working surprisingly
The only viable Naga for me was the original and Molten version. Still using the Molten to this day, I hope it never breaks down. The side buttons need much more force to press down, and they were much wider. Pressing them feels so much more intentional and controlled. Already in the first 5 seconds of the video I can hear how you accidentliy clicked the side buttons just from holding the mouse in the air. Thats such a no-go for me when swiping and picking up the mouse...
I hear ya. I don't have missclicks on the desk. But it rally depends on what I'm using it for. Mmos it's nice. Any kind of shooter I'd likely miss click and use a different side panel.
I had the same mouse for a while now. It was working fine but now the scroll wheel would automatically scroll up from time to time, and sometimes the cursor will fly to a random location. Not sure if it's just me or a common issue.
Can you help plz i've had this mouse a few mths and it works fine when its wired however i can't get it to work for wireless so can i ask how do you get this mouse to work for wirelees as i was told you have to buy a dongle that do not come in the box i told them thats dum thay said its in the manual so plz help if you don't mind thx
@@thebittersideoftech Hey thx for replying its not a cable i need its a wifi dongel for the naga pro i've been on there website and u can buy them there if your in the us but not if your in the uk so i tryed ebay no luck there so it looks like im screwed as i can't get one from there us site and if i sell it im not gonna get back the money i payed for it esp without that dongle
I thought mine didn’t come in the box, however the dongle was located attached to the side of the mouse, underneath where the side buttons snap on. There is a little slot it was in, for storage/travel I’m guessing. Hope this helps you!
Right mouse button breaks after 1 - 2 years. I had about 3 Razer Nagas and it is always the same story. Unfortunately Naga's shape perfectly fits my hands. I tried Corsair Scimitar and Logitech G600 but they are too big and heavy.
I haven’t had good luck with Logitech gaming stuff in a long time. Sorry to hear your issues with the naga! Which version do you have? Seems to be some inconsistencies all over with manufacturing
I bought this because of FF14 but I don’t need 80 extra button on my mouse, and yes, there’s no grip for the thumb and I play only WAR and WHM, so the 12 button one is never used and, all I use is the 6 button and the two button.
That’s plenty of buttons for most games. Took a while to get used to the 12 button. GW2 and WoW each button is bound and I’ve come to rely on it. For better or worse
The only thing I hate Win10 for is Bluetooth no matter the computer its really janky headsets mice keyboards But i use the included usb thing and no issues at all.
The naga isn’t tiny. I wear large gloves. Not sure the measurements haha. It fits nicely. All mice are plastic now. Not sure you can get a metal one. Or that you’d want to.
Not 100% sure. I had some stutters last week. But my board was basically killing itself and since I swapped motherboards it’s been all fine. I think if you get a recently built one then it’s good. I originally had a first run.
Yeah you got one from a bad batch. Wtf. This fanboy must be getting paid. Acting like a warranty on junk makes it a quality product. Look at reviews on any mouse they make. Same cheap Chinese crap thats in 30 dollar mice.
I don't agree when it comes to mice. This one year later was quite a long time ago and it has out lived any Logitech mice in my house. All of the gaming mice that have survived and keep on are razer. I don't buy overpriced gaming laptops so I couldn't say anything about those.
My mouse and keyboard are going strong. I only got a new mouse still razer because I wanted wireless and lighter. I switched from trinity to viper ultimate and love both. My keyboard is the razer huntsman have had it since 2020 and have zero problems. It's amazing.
@@thebittersideoftech i agree with you im a gamer that is easily triggered(i smash a lot of Mice) my razer Mice(basilisk v2 pro) been with me for 2 years now and still good except the scroll wheel
A lot of razer's peoducts are overpriced, but they BY FAR make the best mice. I hate using other mice because they feel unresponsive compared to razer mice (I'm a competitive gamer)
@@thebittersideoftech you idea of big to me is like trying to hold a junebug.. cramps hand I have looked at these in person.. tooo small I'm 6'1 250lbs.. right now I use the G900 wireless/wired Logitech G900 Chaos Spectrum and love it but it's getting to be over 5 years old now time for upgrade
Logitech g900 isn't even that large of a mouse. You should probably get a logitech g502 or a razer basilisk, and if you want heavy then get an older g502 that comes with extra weights. The Razer Naga is also pretty large and weighs like 132 grams which is much heavier than the g900. The old Steelseries Rival is also large but I'm not sure about the newer models.
