Congrats on the 11K+subs!! I watched your videos before starting my channel back in the day and I just love the new outlook & output you've been doing lately. Keep it up :)
Oh wow! I had no idea, thank you so much! I’m definitely taking my channel way more seriously now and it seems to be paying off!!! So excited for what this year brings!
Thanks for answering everyone's questions! In regards to Dragon Quest Monsters: The Dark Prince, I am happy to share that it's quite different than Dragon Quest Treasures. It's turn based like the main games and a good comfort food experience.
it's not surprising to me that you've reached 11K subs and continue to grow at such a quick pace! You always have so much enthusiasm and energy in your videos and I always appreciate your honesty when tackling games you like and didn't like. You were one of the first people I reached out to collaborate with when I was just restarting my gaming channel and you were so down for it and I can't thank you enough for that. Looking forward to all the videos you make in the future, Femtrooper! Onto the next milestone!
Congratulations! 10k is amazing and you deserve it. I know I said this the other day, but it bears repeating: I appreciate that you just love games and want to share them with everyone, no drama or aggravation or anything. You're such a positive, wholesome force.
My apologies for the open-ended movie question! Haha and I have seen many of those on your list, but reaaaalllyyyy want to see Poor Things ASAP. Movies and video games are just the best. Hope your channel continues to grow!
Congratulations on 11k!!! You are one of the youtubers who inspired me to stick with 1-2 games at a time this year. On the topic of parenting. I have such a hard time balancing parenting a toddler with gaming. It's hard to go from 4-5 hours of gaming a night to 1 hour a night tops. So definitely lots of respect for being able to balance the family life and game life.
I agree. I never get 5 hour gaming sessions anymore and sometimes it’s a bummer but that’s life! It is a challenge but I try my best to keep up my hobby!
Congratulations on the growing subscriber count! On the topic of kids and gaming, my oldest son turned 5 this past summer. It was during this past summer we introduced him to video games with Pokémon, Mario, and Pikmin. We limit his gaming time to weekends during his baby brother’s nap time. He has accepted the limitation, and while he enjoys his gaming time, it has only expanded his creativity. After his gaming sessions, he is building his own Mario courses with his toys or in the backyard on the lookout for wild Pokémon. He has always shown an interest in the arts and video games only seem to be furthering his artistic nature so we feel comfortable making the decision to introduce him to gaming.
@@femtrooperthe transition from 4 to 5 has been great. While it’s difficult having him grow up so quickly, there are so many new things we are able to introduce him to. Mom takes him out to the theater, I take him out to sporting events (we alternate as the other stays home with the toddler). The biggest adjustment has been kindergarten but with some patience and a lot of encouragement he has even taken to that very well. As you know, parenting isn’t always easy but the more work you put in the more rewarding it is.
You and I are so similar with genre preferences, I'm not the biggest fan of Western games, and games with no endings drive me insane. Fantastic Q&A, and congrats again on surpassing 10k subs!
Congrats! Well deserved with the great content you bring to the fold. I like how you mentioned you watch all types of RU-vidrs. So many questions answered and good to know more about you. Keep up the great content.
Congratulations on the milestone! I love your videos and your channel is quickly becoming one of my favourites to watch. Wishing you all the happiness and success for the future.
Thanks for the feminine side of gaming in Canada. That's inspiring. Like the aspect of buying for finishing. But I just can't do the same. So much stuff to play.
I'm not a parent, but I think that around the time your son would start school would be a good time to introduce him to video games. I think it's good to let him interact more with the physical world when really young (tons of play studies on that), but it'd be good to introduce him to quality gaming before all the elementary kids start getting him into the popular generic games :P
Congrats you 100% deserve this and more I’m so glad I saw you on the colab you did with Johnny (Happy Console Gamer) you do great job keep up the awesome work. My question would be do you like Fallout franchise it’s my favorite. (If not I get it Falllout isn’t for everyone) Fallout 4 is my all time favorite game. Also I love Star Wars too (Empire Strikes Back is my favorite). Keep it up I’m rooting for you.
@@femtrooper hey Paige, just finished watching it all, was fun! I have a question too, what do you do for work? also, that fun that you are a Canadian too :)
Hi Paige, coingrats on making it to five figures! I missed my opportunity to ask you a question for your Q&A, so I thought I'd asak one in the comments. What are you most looking forward to or hope to see in Switch 2? Ha! I was just imagining like police tape around that room with the games in a ateempt to keep the blinders on your son. Then with a Karatos voice ask "what are you doing in here boi?" hahaha! for resi games, I would most recommend playing RE2 remake first. It is in my top 10 games of ALL time P and it sets the tone/feel for the oth remakes!
Awesome! RE2 is okay to start with then? Also, I would love to see basically the same console as the Switch but with more durable joycons and just more powerful overall (better graphics and stuff).
@@femtrooper yeah definitely! Re2 remake set the ground work for the other remakes and I think for me, stands as the best! If you are looking for durable joycons, I highly recommend getting the NYXI Hyperion pros. They feature hall jjoystcks that will not drift, and offer great ergonomics you get from the pro controller and from what I know are the only ones out there that offer full joycon experience! If you havent heard of them, just google it and they arent too expensive either! In terms of the Switch2, I am really curious about how Nintendo will deliver the power and graphics. At the moment, the switch is the only console with has a very retro delivery system for physical games, in that the games run straight from the carts without any need to install the game on the drive like you do on ps4/5 xbox one/series. I think this is what made physical switch games so collectible..
Thank you for answering my question about the EarthBound remake/sequel! I agree with you, that it has to feel like an adventure. I remember just how different and magical it felt to wake up in Dalaam and Winters back in the day. 😊 Also congrats on the subscribers! You certainly deserve all of them and more!
Congrats on the 11K subs - what a milestone! So well deserved. I reeeeally enjoyed this Q&A, love those videos, it's so great to get to know you better, which is just awesome. Keep up that fantastic work Paige - I am sure you'll reach 20K soon.
Oh, I will, and you can expect me to be in your comment section quite a bit. I like how personal your videos seem; it feels like you're actually interacting with viewers, and I think that's something that's been missing from the platform for quite some time. @@femtrooper
Fun video! Congrats on 11K and counting! Sorry for the tough on the spot character design question. And omg, I also saw Alien when I was pretty young and it haunted me for years. 😭😆 But I love those movies now.
Agree about the relatability of persona. I played the world ends with you when I was 16 and related to Neku a lot more than I would now. Makes the game more special looking back. Great video.
Congrats, hope the channel keeps going well because it's one of those genuine ones that is there for the right reasons. A full 3D Donkey Kong country would have good on the switch, as well as more original first party games. I like certain SIM games like Roller coaster tycoon, I can combine my passion of coasters and gaming, I also like to be creative. I used spend lots of time on realistic racing and sport games but I don't anymore. I like the non realistic sport games like mario strikers and Speedball 2. I got Animal crossing because it was a classic GameCube game but I was a bit disappointed with it. Too time consuming for me nowadays, I was expecting it to be more like Harvest moon. I quite like Harvest moon as it's a relaxing type of game and quite charming. I don't mind digital gaming on my computer but a console should be physical games, Both have their pros and cons, It's really nostalgia Vs practicality.
Thanks for answering my question. I have to agree with you with RU-vid learning about so many games. In the same boat. As a 35 year old, I was definitely a basic gamer. Played all the big titles that came out. Then watching RU-vid and talking to friends it’s opened my eyes to a ton of franchises!! I’m sure editing sucks.. especially this video ;-) Congrats again!
Hi femtrooper, thanks so much for your honest answer for my question. As someone who isn’t a parent and gaming is a big part of my life, it is very interesting and informative to know where you stand for your kid. My niece was very young when I played New Super Mario Bros with her. She tilted the controller to try and get Toad to move. My brother and I did our best to help guide her to play but she didn’t understand. She liked Mario kart 8 more with the assist features.
Feel your Love towards one Game. My Favorite Game Is Grandia and yes i am aware that alot of nostalgia is the reason for it :D My Heart is lost to turnbased jrpgs :D that feel like adventures!
I miss the boat on the Q&A, but since you've mentioned that FF7 Remake and FF 16 and whatnot are amongst your favorite RPGs, i wonder what's your opinion on turn-based combat vs "modern" combat. I feel like i would be bored by FF7 Remake and some other titles because i REALLY like turn-based, i like the time to strategize and i like the emphasis on grinding. The only Action-RPG i kinda like is the "Tales of" series, and even then i kinda dislike the more modern games with flashy combat because it becomes Devil May Cry to me, idk. I respect everyone's tastes, i just wanted to know your opinion on this.
Im almost done with octopath traveler 2. im at the final true boss, and I was the same with you on the first game dropped it due to the excessive grind of a game. This is not the case and if you just explore a little and have some background skills equipped their will be no excessive grind like the first. Also congrats on 10k.
@femtrooper yes I only had trouble with two of the bosses so far and if you can handle getting some equipment then you could probably deal with bosses easier. I think the grinding is nonexistent I just recommend explore to find some secret bosses and secondary job classes but after that you should be good. I would also recommend asking any youtube friend that has played both and ask about the grind to see if they noticed it as much. Their is one slight thing the final boss is a pain in the but that if you're not ready for then it might make you rage quit and give up on the game. That's exactly what happen to me I have decided to not finish the game because at the end their is a hard boss fight and I would recommend a guide on how to beat it and have the right equipment before you start the final mission.
How do you play games on the treadmill or while you are walking? Do you have a joycon in each hand or do you hold the whole switch while looking down? I’m kind of curious
you had a lot of movies mentioned, didn't see Godzilla Minus One? I am not even the biggest Godzilla fan I thought it was just an excellent movie where I was actually rooting for the human characters to defeat Godzilla as it was a more character driven story. Normally in a Godzilla movie I just want to to see the giant lizard destroy everything and could care less about the human characters, this was a vast improvement.
