I'm looking forward to seeing your led dash solution for Fred. From what I discovered bi-colour 3 pin LEDs are widely available. When red and green are illuminated at the same time, it creates yellow

Oh now, that's interesting! So a bi-directional red/green led with the center reference wire left unused will shine yellow when either turn signal is turned on! That's neat. I have two other solutions to the single indicator problem, and now a third. I will do a full test when we get Fred to that stage. This is fun!

@fjdelmonte the middle terminal on the 3 pin bi-colour is a common cathode the other two pins being one for red and one for green. If powered at the same time you get yellow, however I appreciate the lens is already yellow on the dash but firing both at once should help negate the four flasher issue.

OK. Let me see if I understand. Tie the leads for red & Green together. Then hook the Red/Green combo to one of the turn signal circuits, and the remaining lead to the other turn signal circuit? Is that what you mean?

@fjdelmonte I've just watched the commando video 17 again to make sure I understood the reasoning for using two yellow LEDs ie a single LED not drawing sufficient current. My thinking is if you use a single 3 pin bi-colour LED where the red & green are ganged together to operate the equivalent of two LEDs in unison this in theory should directly replace the single original filament bulb and draw sufficient current to allow the flasher relay to operate correctly.

I will give it a try and see what happens.
