Your guide was super helpful and there’s a lot of utility that your guide help navigate through. For the utility such as rescue / verdant embrace / expunge/ living flame on teammates can I use mouse over macros ? I don’t own a 12 button mouse and I find it difficult to use all the utility effectively and using party macros/key binds.
@@TheBlizzG mouse overs do work I suppose depending how quick you are with them, imo p1 p2 p3 a1 a2 a3 operate faster in those really tight situations every milisecond counts to survive
To the clipping...Clipping itself doesn't do more damage. All it does is move the last dot tick into your next channel. There are rare instances where it can actually be useful in PvP like when someone runs LoS and you clip the Disintegrate just before they hit the pillar and get the full channel through LoS that way. But if you cancel the second disintegrate early for other stuff you'll hurt your damage instead. Double edged sword.
Mage dev, frost or arcane should work just fine, sp dev, demo dev, dh dev, frost dk dev, rogue dev, mm dev, feral dev, all comps that I’ve personally ran and have good success with!
I'm not sure you understand the point of clipping or how to do it. If you clip at the correct time, you never lose damage and you just get a slightly faster cast speed on the second Disintegrate. Basically, Disint does 4 instances of damage, at the very start, at the very end and two in the middle. If you cast a second Disintegrate immediately after the third tick happens, you'll transfer that final tick that you just interrupted to the end of your second cast. So basically, let's say your Disintegrate is exactly 1.5 seconds long just to make the math simple. You'll do your first tick at the start, second at 1 second left, third at 0.5 seconds left and final tick at the end of the cast. But when you instantly cast a new Disintegrate when the tick at 0.5 seconds happens, it changes how your second Disintegrate works. You took that fourth tick of the first Disintegrate and moved it onto the second cast. This means the second cast will do ticks at right at the start, the second tick at 1.125 seconds left, third tick at 0.75 seconds left, fourth tick at 0.375 seconds left and the final tick that was transferred from the previous cast happens at the end of the cast. This now removes the need for you to channel the 0.5 seconds on the first cast, meaning you spend a total of 2.5 seconds channeling two Disintegrates doing the damage of two casts, instead of 3 seconds. You gain damage and lose nothing IF you do this properly. And of course, on occasion there's going to be the case where you get instantly interrupted on the second cast and you lose damage but hey, that's just kicks. You can also continue this forever as long as you have Essence to cast Disintegrates, just start a new cast at whatever interval the second to last tick happens, so in the 1.5s example, if you interrupt the second cast when there's 0.375 seconds left you'll get that tick and save that time for the next cast. Basically you just keep pushing the last tick from the first cast onto a new cast over and over until you finally get the last tick when the last cast channels to the end. If you just spam it and cast a new Disintegrate the instant you can, you're definitely wasting damage. There's a good weakaura for this should you want to test it for yourself, it's called "Evoker Disintegrate Ticks". This gives you a visual representation of where the ticks happen, so you get notches on the cast bar for the ticks. And then just interrupt your cast with a new one somewhere between the end of the cast and the final notch on the cast bar.
Yes I am aware of this I didn’t want to explain this fully in this video as other RU-vidrs have explained what clipping is but what they suggest is while bursting literally spamming disengrate which will cause you to actually lose damage and that is what I was referring to, if you do it after the 3rd tick as you mentioned it will make the next one tick faster and this is ideal however with my macro you don’t have to think too much of it and accidentally click early or too late while there is a million other things going on in a game that is the least of my worries I don’t want to have to think about it, I simply press the button and can’t lose damage no matter what! 14:20 your math isn't wrong but it's also wrong. The vast majority, if not strictly every single one, of WoW's damage amps are multiplicative with each other. So it's not 55% more damage, it's 100*115%*120%*120%=165.6 A.K.A. 65.6% more damage.
Clipping isn't meant to increase damage directly, its just the pandemic effect since Disintegrate is a DoT, any dot you refresh at 30% left on duration is extended. And man I know UI's are subjective but i can not understand that Healer CC'd blocking a 3rd of your screen being good
Yes, as mentioned in another comment content creators try to tell people to spam disintegrate before they even reach 30% pandemic time because the dot does damage as soon as you click it and in PvP it’ll offer more “burst” where I am debunking that here as you want it to channel out at least till the 3rd tick and then refresh the clip, however with everything else going on in the game and the chance I spam click it early I find it being wasteful thus I use the macro to ensure it cast fully no matter what that’s me personally as I find my self always spamming buttons so if I attempt to clip I’d constantly be doing damage, do what works for you, and my ui may look crazy but it is subjective I find if make my WA too small I am less aware im getting older and need big icons lol thats just me, again find what works for you to get the best rating for yourself this is just a guide of whats brought my own success!
