@@patrickdoyle6201 And after seeing what a mistake that was he accepted League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, which should be on this list because he didn't understand it either.
I think Alec Guinness' problem was likely less that he didn't get the character and more Lucas wasn't that good a writer. I've seen interviews of Hamill and Ford also criticizing dialogue that was cut from the first movie and we've all seen the prequels.
Christopher Plummer shouldn’t be on this list. He understood the movie he just didn’t like it. Brando didn’t even bother to learn his lines in his last few movies.
After his final great performance in The Godfather, Marlon Brando pretty much gave up. He didn't do much after that except take the money, mumble the lines, and not read the pages that didn't feature him. George Clooney followed the script and direction. The biggest problem with that movie was not the actors; it was the director.
Nolan later said at Colbert that Tenet was never meant to be understood. Yeah,RIGHT! Just like Tommy Wiseau said(after audience laughed at the premiere)that The Room was intended as a comedy from the begining. Yeah, right...
I know. I just finished watching it there. It’s one of those super rare cases where a movie is more enjoyable on a tablet than the big screen, since you can control the volume and put on subtitles. The climax is still baffling, though
You guys left out Tim Roth from Planet Of The Apes; he has gone on record saying he didn't understand the movie's ending despite being 1 of the main characters in the movie.
I remember being 8-9 when they announced Keaton was playing Batman. I didn’t know the character other than Adam West’s Batman at that age. But I didn’t get it. When I saw the movie for the first time I was floored. To this day I put that movie on and I’m 10 all over again.
Circle of Life I would describe as a "smell your own farts movie"It felt far more like a pretentious director enjoying the smell of his own farts. Than any attempt to tell an actual story
I'm glad I watched this, because I always got the vibe that something was...off...about Plumber's performance in Sound of Music. For me it was the lack of chemistry between him and Julie Andrews (their acting ability managed to capture their romance, but not by a lot IMHO), but this vid makes it apparent there was even more (or less??) going on!
I saw a making of feature for "Tron" (1982) and in their interviews, Bruce Boxleitner, Cindy Morgan and Bernard Hughes all started by saying "When i read the script, I didn't really understand it." Jeff Bridges, however, completely understood it.
According to his own words, Joaquin Phoenix didn't know anything about Napoleon from history, and didn't understand what to do and what was required of him in most of the 'Napoleon' 2023 (and it shows 😒)
By his own standards, John Leguizamo should be shunned from Hollywood for culturally appropriating an Italian plumber as a Latino. But, hypocrites got to hypocrite.
I genuinely enjoy Super Mario Bros Movie (1993). Yeah I was confused when it didn't follow canon or at least the TV show, but as a kid I still loved and 30 years later, I still do!
John Leguizamo also may not have even understood it either. He didn’t even had Luigi’s moustache, thou the movie was bad at least Bob Hoskins had his traditionally as Mario’s look is known for ..
